Hurt Back?? So I had my sisters Yorkie Ada all day Saturday. SHe and Diggy are best friends and brother and sister (Ada is a year older) they play CONSTANTLY and very pleasnat never seriously fight. So about 2 hours after Ada is there I see she starts getting REALLY snappy with DIggy and does NOT want tp play and she has never did this before. SO I seperate them and Ada just starts laying around and whimpering under her breath as she layed there. SHe would perk up if I said her name or petted her, she is eating drinking, walking, and running fine. I figured she missed her mom and was grouchy No big deal. I tell my sister about it and she thought the same thing. SO my sister calls ,e yesterday and says Ada is still laying around whimpering a bit and breaths funny when she is doing it. Like little short breaths. SO she does a complete touch exam of ada to see if she is sore any where and nothing. Now her only difference in actions is the whimpering obviously but after she goes potty she always get in her bed and cleans her noo noo off. Well she cannot bend that far down to reach her noo noo! She usually does it no problem at all. So I am thinking a strained muscle in her back or belly? Has anyone ever heard of this??? She goes to the vet today at 3 but my sister is a WRECK and I told her I would ask on here if anyone has experianced this. Thanks in advance for replying! |
ADa oh no:( Poor Ada. Please call me Paula after you talk to Terri and let me know what the vet said. I have to work at 5. I hope it's nothing serious. |
I will appt. is at 3 so Ill send ya a text. I wanted to tell you what Jack said about Tannar at football camp! FINALLY someone not jealous and HURTFUL! With 3 state championship apperances in the last 3 years under his belt I trust his opinion over those that like to stack teams and travel to local tourneys and STILL lose! lmao He has seen it all and is VERY impressed!! :yay_jump: |
Poor baby! I hope it's nothing serious..update us when you know something from the vet. |
Paula! whats goin on with the babies lately?> anyways, I have no idea but I hope she feels much better soon! |
Hind leg postion> Quote:
For sure! Thanks for concern! I feel bad cause it happened at my house...but she never so much as yelped. The usual play run play roll. Is it normal for yorkies to fight standing in their hind legs?? All of the yorkies in the family do that and could that hurt thier back?? Ada and Diggy stand face to face on hind legs and go back and fourth slapping and punching...I feel REALLY bad. :( |

Its always something. If its not mine its Tara's or my sisters.....Im always in a tizy trying to keep these babies up and safe!!!! |
Armani is good. LOL waking up earlier and earlier to play everyday lol |
That's too bad about Ada. Poor baby. I'm trying to remember what was wrong with ex-BF's Yorkie. It's been a lot of years ago though so I'm stretching. Seems like he either pinched a nerve or twisted something in his little back, jumping off the sofa or doing one of those other infamous Yorkie stunts. He got meds and it was better. Would bother him periodically after that. You could always tell because he would walk funny, kind of with his midsection raised in the air! |
She does not walk funny at all Its just the bending over thing. Oh and the whimpoering when sprawled out. What bothers me the most is it affects her breathing not like she is struggling to breath but little short breaths like she is in pain. My sister is struggling to not cry every 2 seconds cuz we r at work.....I feel horible! Thanks for your reply! |
I have no clue what is wrong with your sister's girl, but I want to let you know that I will say a prayer that it is nothing to worry about and that she get's well soon. Don't be too hard on yourself, accidents happen all the time even if you keep your eyes peeled open 24/7, just like with human kids! |
I'm glad your sisters having it checked out. Their so fragile. Keep us posted. |
I will keep you all posted for sure and thanks for thoughts and kind words....:) |
Okay back from vet and vet said she thinks she has a strained muscle in back! I guess thats good news....i just wonder how long it will take to heal! |
