2 dog leash Hi Everyone; I am getting another puppy tomorrow, and i am wondering if anyone that has 2 dogs is using a coupler leash, if so which one do you recommend? i feel that most couplers are to short, if one dog wants to do his business the other one has to be close by? any thoughts? |
I use the one you can buy at Petco. It works fine. If it is too long then you have the dogs getting tangled too easy and wrapping themselves around your legs. Also it is easier to grab them both and pick them up together if another dog comes at them with a shorter one. |
Chattiesmom makes them to match her beautiful harnesses. I don't have two dogs right now so I haven't tried them. But if you want it a little longer, I am sure she can accommodate that. The harness and leash I have are absolutely great. Even my groomer, whom I am sure sees tons of collars and leashes thought they were great. They are really light and with these small babies that is a great thing. |
You can purchase them at PetSmart too. I bought one there and made a couple. |
I bought one from Pocomutt. She did an awesome job...I also bought the matching leash. she makes the coupler adjustable so you can make it longer if you want. |
There was a girl on here, by the name of ashley809 , that reccommend a leash that was for two dogs, if you PM her or if she sees this, please post the link that you were telling me about. I accidently forgot the link. |

I custom make adjustable couplers -- I can make the coupler and leash the length that would meet your needs. It takes practice mastering the art of using a coupler. Each dog should be trained individually to walk politely on a leash before using a coupler. If not they will tangle the two coupler links. |
I have the two dog leash and a coupler. I like the coupler better because I can use it with a retractable leash. |
Hi; I just send you a reply, but i am not sure it went through, please let me know. i am interested in getting more info on the coupler, please email me to danchul@yahoo.com Thanks Much. |
re coupler Thank you all for the responds, that was great, chattiesmom, please email me to danchul@yahoo.com. my new puppy is home and we had a very interesting day his dad who lives with me is not happy, but i am sure as time goes by he will adjust. we are going to sleep now, and hoping for a quite night..he is so adorable. |
I have been trying to get her, do you have an email for her? Thanks. |
If you sent her a PM I am sure she will reply. I seem to remember something about her going on a short road trip, but Cindy is as dedicated to checking her PMs as can be, so I am sure she will get back to you soon. She also makes wonderful step in harnesses to match (protects our babies tracheas). Don't have the thread at the tip of my fingers, just do a search on silk step in harnesses. That will give you the different colors silks that she has (silk doesn't matt the hair so fast). Or you can just go in the yorkie products for sale area. And look for threads from her. . . Good luck! |
