Which is harder? Boys or Girls I am asking this question because with Kota I am having to do a lot more than what I had to do with Aubrey. I am having to put Nutri-Cal on her tounge, Aubrey would eat it off my finger. I am having to give her water through a surrenge (spelling) Aubrey would drink it out of a bowl. I just had to clean up poop on her, Aubrey I didn't have to do that. She seems like shes a lot more work than him. It might just be that shes too young. Any help on what I should do, shes crying :( ... |
Does she stop crying when you cuddle her? How long have you had her? I have boys so I don't have any comparison. |
Yeah, shes stopped now. She jsut might be upset that I was wiping her bottom off... I got her last night. She was doing much better, but shes more work.. which I am ok with, I just wanted to know if this was normal. Thanks! |
I don't think it is because she is a girl, but because they all have different personalities. I have two girls and they are totally different from each other. Some might be a little more 'high maintenance' in some areas! :D |
ok. Maybe. She cries if she can't see you. So I am sure she will be. |
Well Penny's a handful, and Pipers as easy as pie, so I'd say girls are harder. |
I think so too! But I do enjoy having two! Two different personalities! |
Well, mine may just be a difference in breeds as my little boy is a maltese. But, I find he is MUCH harder than my little girl. He seems to get into EVERYTHING!! :p |
You might have a darling diva on your hands. They're so cute....enjoy spoiling her. |
Oh, I am:)! I love her, and I have only had her for 3 days. |

Sounds like it's just because she's a new baby in a new place. She'll settle in, and then you'll be able to better determine her personality and needs. We have two girls, but occasionally dogsit for two males, and I find the males much harder. I can't stand the marking! Other than that, though, I think it just depends on the dog and its personality. Our two girls are as different as night and day. Riley is much more a handful than Penny ever has been. |
My female London is more Diva-ish. She likes to BE fed. But my male Teddy is cool, not picky and so is Sophia. So I think it's just the personality |
Well I don't know if it is because of the different sexes or not....but my boy is MUCH easier on some of the bigger/more important issues than my girl. He learns much, much quicker (tricks, etc.)...he was potty trained alot quicker, and he listens/minds SO much better. My boy also doesn't "get into things" like my girl does (she chews paper, and SOMETIMES even carpet ). And my boy also doesn't beg for food like my girl does. Also, he is much more "open" and accepting of new people - it takes my girl much longer to get used to someone and she is pretty shy at first. It just takes her a while to warm up and get to know you and until she does, she kind of stears clear of you lol :p However...my girl LOVES her bath and my boy HATES his. Also my girl is a little more independent that my boy. My girl is much less "picky" when it comes to food/treats whereas my boy is a FOOD/TREAT SNOB (lol) and will turn his nose up at 99% of what you give him...he is EXTREMELY picky about what goes in his mouth  Not my girl though...she is a serious PIGGY! My girl doesn't bark at hardly anything AT ALL whereas my boy barks at any sudden noise (when someone rings the doorbell, a dog barking outside, etc.). My girl doesn't mind being brushed or having her nails clipped and my boy goes NUTS when he is having his nails clipped...and doesn't really like to be brushed or groomed either, but thankfully he doesn't go WILD with it like he does with the nail clipping  There are just lots of differences between them, but they ARE two different babies :) I love them both equally though and couldn't be happier to have them in my life. I like the fact that they are different in alot of ways - it adds more variety :D |
