Potty Training I just got my first Yorkie, and am very HAPPY!!! :) :) :) What I didn't know, was that potty training was going to be so hard!!!! I don,t mind, he is worth every bit that it will take to get him there. My question is Why is it so hard, & WHY does it take so long? They are very smart, & willing to please. Also, what about the nipping? Does that go away too? Love my little guy : :yorkietal |
congratulations Oscar (and mommy). |

Go Higgens - I love hearing your butt hit the floor I just love potty training threads with a happy ending ! |
Congratulations! Chewy is nowhere near trained with the poop. Just tonight my son called out to me for help. I ran in, no idea what was wrong and he was standing there with squished poop on the bottom of his foot!!! He made me promise not to tell anyone because he doesn't want people to know that he's a "poo stepper". Ya'll can keep a secret, right? |
Congratulations! i wish I could say the same thing, It sure is hard to train them. |
I'm really happy for you but extremely jealous of you :( I just want Coco's lightbulb to go on toooooo  |
Thanks for the great response guys! Tonight I saw Angel, of the now infamous "Camp Angel and Al". When I told her about this thread and the responses she thought it was so funny. Here's another story, and it's related to going potty. Last night when I was at work, my mom (yes, still visiting...) called and said I had to come home right away because of Oscar. My heart leapt into my throat, but it turns out everything was okay. Oscar woke her up at just after 4am to go potty. Mom has an artificial leg, and at night she gets around on crutches. She went over to a chair by the door and snapped Oscar's line on him (I bring it in under the door so letting him out is easier). Well, little Oscar decided to get wrapped around one of my planters. Mom couldn't get out to him and she was beside herself. When she called and told me I said he would be fine, the weather was nice, and I'd be home in a couple of hours. I got home and there was little Oscar looking so relieved to see me! I let him in the house and, this little dog that never barks, just started barking and barking at me. It was like he was saying, "Mom, Gwandma left me ouwtside and fowgot abowt me!!!!! " It was soooo cute! |
YAY Oscar !!!!!!!! Mya was trained early but now is doing the missing the pee pee pad by an inch thing. It started today after we steam cleaned the carpets......lol |
