How obsessed are your babies over YOU Okay, I have 2 wonderful babies but it is Annika that is so very obsessed with me. Tiger couldn't care less . . he would NEVER ever follow me around but Annika is like having her on an invisible leash . . . I know she will jump of the cliff just to be with me :) Okay let me tell you how obsessed this little one is . . . My "dungeon" (gofetch room) is set-up where there is a long table that divides the computer area and my sewing area. Annika, unless she is roaming within the room, is mostly right on a chair next to me laying on her favorite pillow. Often I would go back and forth to check on something and everytime I stand up to go to the other side, she would start barking like "hey, you forgot to take me" . . .and I tell you she will NOT stop until I had to go back and pick her up. Even when she is in deep slumber (or so I thought). . . I feel as if she has a guardian angel that gives her a tap on her shoulder to let her know her shadow (that's me) is nowhere near her :p Now, I thought that was really bad as the other chair is like 6 steps away . . . well, this I am sure tops it all. Whenever I am in bed and hubby get up to get ready before me, and this happens especially on saturdays when he goes off to play golf . . . As soon as he reaches over me to give me a kiss, Annika, somehow sensing what is about to happen, whereever she is on my bed, will suddenly be on fire and be growling like hubby was a stranger and will snap and try to bite him . . .I mean talk about how crazy is that . . . when it first happened a couple of months ago, I did not realize what was happening in my half asleep state of mind. So he had to explain . . I of course could not believe it so I told him to do it again. Boy, and she sure did it again . .growling so ferrociously in that little tiny bod of hers :p So now, I sure look forward to those days when he does it as I know I get a kick out of it. Sometimes he won't want anymore but I always insist just to get Annika to react that way. Oh and if we do cuddle, she makes sure she is about right in between us so we really couldn't  :) Care to share your experiences? |
How cute ! and lol on your Dungeon !! Mine are so obsessed over me they need therapy. I can't even pee without a parade following me into the bathroom. They're with me 24/7 and I can't leave any room without my 2 butt warmers velcroed to my backside....Sometimes I'll be walking down my hall - stop short ...and it's a train wreck against my legs lol |
Max is just like your Annika! When my husband leaves for work in the morning at 5:30, he kisses me goodbye and Max goes NUTS! When we go to bed he has to be right between us. When I run to the convenience store he jumps up in our bay window and my husband says he stays there whining until I return! The funny thing is, when I go the opposite direction, he knows I am going to work and lays on hubby's lap! He also has to be laying against me touching me when I am sitting on the couch. Too funny!!! |

Jake is the same way, except he has never barked or growled at my husband. However, he will get right between us if we're sitting on the couch together. He sleeps with us, but he has to be right next to me, as close as he can get. During the day when I'm doing housework, he follows me everywhere. Anytime I go to the bathroom, he's right there. If I take a shower, he waits right outside the bathroom door. He just lays there waiting, sometimes he goes to sleep or chews on a flossie while he's waiting. Sometimes he will whine a little bit, but he hasn't been doing that for awhile. If I'm cooking, he is right by my feet (prob waiting in hopes that I drop some food). If I'm on the computer, he's on my lap. He was jealous of Lily, and when I would hold her and feed her, he would sit right next to me and sometimes on my lap. But, he never growled at her or anything. He gets jealous of my grandchildren when they visit, but he loves them. He usually just sits right with us. He's really well behaved, and I'm glad he doesn't bark or growl at anyone that pays attention to me. He just has to be right there with me at ALL times. But, I don't mind one bit.:) |

I have Abbi, Itzi, Judy, Beauty, Cruiser & Blaze of the Biewers and Bailey, my havanese with their front paws on the tub while I'm in the shower....Dayzee stays with Dan. Bailey, my heart and soul, will sit by the bathroom door and cry while I'm in there. How many for a group therapy session? |
I have an audience when I have to pee. :D Also when I take a shower the two girls wait at the shower door for me to get out and they love to lick the water off my feet. I got the train thing going too when I walk from room to room. Ahhhh, it is so heart warming to be so loved so unconditionally!!! |
I know what you mean about the bathroom Villette. I'm afraid I'll stop short one day, and they'll be up my rump. |

Kate Kate is a carbon copy of her mother Charlotte..not only in looks, but personality. These are the only two Yorkies I have ever had who will see how close they can put their noses to your face before I say, Enough! I let Kate do it the other evening...she pressed her nose against my cheek and stood there until I made her move back a bit...her mother used to put her nose on my eye lid when she wanted to get up...no noise, just breathing on my lid. They don't so it to anyone else...Lucky me!!! LOL |

oh I sure think there are so many of Annika's trait around :p She does wait while I take a shower too and since I do have a clear glass shower door she sure can see me  And she sure does not growl at my hubby much except when we are both in bed and he needs to say goodbye :p I am NOT even going to divulge what she does when we are "DOING IT"   |
