Flea Question If My Dog Had Fleas Would It Be Impossible For Me Not To See Them...i Use Frontline At The Moment By My Dog Scratches Her Ears Constantly And I Look Her Ears Over Constantly The Most I Have Ever Seen Was It Looked Like She Had Dandruff...i Have Never Seen What A Flea Looks Like In Person...i Just Hope I Am Not Over Looking Them And Then My Home Becomes Infested |
If she is scratching her eads, she may have an ear infection or mites. I would get the vet to check them.:) |
Have you looked around her head? Not just by her ears. Also, there should be some black little things on her, if she has fleas. Do you see anything like that? |

The Only Thing I Have Ever Seen On Her Looks Like Dandruff...i Am Getting Scared For Her....i Will Take Her To The Vet |
If she is only scratching her ears I would see if you could pull any gunk out with a tissue, cotton ball or qtip. If you pull anything black or brown colored out it might be a yeast infection in her ears. That was Ellie's problem and she didn't have mites. I find that if I need to check Ellie for fleas a good spot to look is her belly (no fur). I just see if any walk across. |
I think you should take her to the vet, atleast they know what to look for. Because I am not vet. I always feel safe when I take Aubrey there. |
get a flea comb they usually hang out in the rear area and the head |
She could be scratching from having fleas before you applied the frontline. I know sometimes Lacy's flea preventative will wear off early and she will get fleas on her. She is allergic to flea bites and will scratch and scratch. I put advantage on her Saturday night and this is Tuesday night and she is still scratching like crazy from flea bites last week. Yours could also be allergic to something else totally unrelated to fleas or the flea preventative. A lot of dogs have allergies to food or things in the environment and will scratch. |
