Anyone else hate to leave their babies to go to work I just hate leaving them in the morning. I leave at the last possible minute to make it to work on time. Thank goodness I only work a few miles away. Of course I come home for lunch to check on them. Maybe I have the seration anxiety:D |
Yes, Max always gives me such a sad look. He lays on the bathroom floor and watches me get ready for work, eats his food while I eat my cereal, then when I say, I have to go to work, he lays flat on the carpet like he is invisible or something, then it is off to the "den", the big bathroom which has his bed, toys, blanket and food and water. He never barks, or tries to run, he just gives me a pathetic look! :yorkiesar |
Yes, it is like leaving 3 two year olds. They don't make a peep until the garage door closes.:animal36 Then when I get home thay are just nuts!!:aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
Thank goodness I don't work. Juju acts like I am abandoning her when I walk outside for 5 minutes. |
Yes! It breaks my heart to see those little faces looking up at me everyday before I go. :( At least Zeus and Enja are together all day, which helps. |
I hate leaving my babies too! I only work a few minuted away though as well. When I come home, they go nuts. But who am I kidding, they go nuts if I walk outside for a few seconds and come back. They just have to be with me all of the time or they get upset! Thank goodness mine aren't yappers though! Oh if I could only take them to work with me! I would love to take them, but I don't think my kids (I'm a teacher) would learn anything because they would want to hold them and play with them constantly! |
Kodak use to be so sad :( which is what made me get his little sister Kamari. Now they both are :( but at least they have each other until I get home.:) |
I hate leaving for work as well...the girls are pretty good now that they a little older, they both lay down in their beds and wait but Captain will follow me around and always trys to leave out the door with me. He goes in his pen and just watches me, it makes me so sad but I know they will be okay. It is so great when you come home and they are SOOO excited to see you...I love that feeling!! |
Iam disabled now and am home most of the tome with Jasper.Today I was gome most of the morning with an appointment with my son and now I am off to a Dr appt but my 16 yr son Curt will watch Jasper.Geesh...I am guilty with the thought of when I worked for years and years my yorkies were left alone. :aimeeyork :animal36 |
It breaks my heart to leave my girls every morning as well . I keep telling my husband that I need to be a stay at home mom. |
We are sooo blessed to have my dad living with us, so they are never really alone, but they do hop up on the breakfast room window sill and watch till they can't see the car anymore. We do leave the TV on during the day to keep them company. And I agree with all of you!!! I feel so loved when I get home!! |
Yes, AUbrey always gives me this sad look, But boy he is glad when I come home!! He makes this squeeling sound, anyone else's baby make a sound? |
It was the worst feeling leaving my baby Marley.I could not resist this and I had to get him Leeloo now his girlfriend :D .....they still get sad when we go out but fortunately right now I'm spending time at home while I'm pregnant and staying for a couple of months after the baby is born.:p But I think is going to be really hard to leave my puppies when I go back to work and this is funny because I don't feel this way about the baby.....am I a terrible mother? hehehehe |
oh yeah, I think everybody here goes thru the same each time we have to walk out the door and leave then at home :( |

I am sorry you have to leave your baby/babies:( I am lucky I can take mine to work, i do not know what I would do if I had to leave them.....I do not know what they would do:confused: |
Going to work is so-oooooooooooo sad every day for me, so I can only imagine how bad Bubba & Roxie feel. When I adopted them, I did it because I worked from home and I knew I could spend lots of time with the dogs, and they could play in the yard whenever they wanted (which to Roxie means ALL DAY!) But then 20 months ago my employer changed my job, requiring me to work in the office :( - I really have to find a new situation, so I don't have to be away from my babies -- like right now, here I am at work. yorkiesmiles :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
I hate leaving Conner in the morning. Fortunately, he does not feel the same way. He runs into his pen so that he can have his chicken. He is usually tired in the morning (even after a good night's sleep). I think that is because he gets a lot of exercise when I get home. We play on the floor, we have dinner, I take him to the park, and then he plays on the floor with me and my husband until bed time. I suppose I am lucky that he does not fuss when I leave for work because that would make it even harder. I work only 6 hours a day, and my sister comes during the day to let Conner out. Conner loves that because my sister brings her kids and Conner loves to play with them. When I get home, he is tired again. |
I know I hate it.....Buster always knows when it's time for me to leave in the morning...he starts this sad little whining....it gets me every time! :( |
I hate, I am so uncomfortable when she is not with me. But likely, I have an opportunity to take her with me ALL THE TIME. It is funny, but when I was looking for a job, one of the questions was always "is this space a dog friendly? can I bring my dog with me?" :p :D |
I really hate leaving for work because Jake always looks so sad. It breaks my heart. I'm lucky that I don't have to leave him alone though. I work eves and am able to be home with him all day. My hubby has him in the eves. But, I miss him like crazy when I'm at work! |
I leave my house at 7:15am every morning. I hate leaving Wes and Maddie. :( At least they are always really tired and they continue sleeping with my boyfriend when I leave. :snore: |
I work at a dog boutique/grooming salon so Lacy goes to work with me everyday. But I'm starting vet school in a month and am going to have to be away from her during the day now...I'm going to be so sad without her... But I am going to try to let her go to Doggie Daycare pretty often so she doesn't get bored and I'll only be gone at most like 4 1/2 hours at one time so it won't be too bad. |
Since I retired early 2 1/2 years ago I am fortunate to not have to leave them much. But when I do they are so excited to see me they all go nuts. So at least there is a good side to leaving them!!! |
I work from 2 pm to 8 pm and work only about 15 minutes away so I am not gone long. Hubby gets home about 5 30. So she is not alone for very long. She has now started going to her room when I start for the shower. She knows that means work time. |
