To the "nice" people out there We've all talked about the rude people that are out there. I've had a couple of encounters myself. One day I made a sudden stop to run into Motor Vehicles and didn't want to leave Kalina in the car. It was over 90 degrees. So, I took her in with me. This tiny little puppy in my arms, so adorable IMO and I took one step inside the door and the woman behind the counter screamed out NO DOGS, GET IT OUT OF HERE! I was a little embarrassed but attributed it to a little bit of her power going to her head. I only needed to ask them a quick question. Then Saturday was the opposite end of the spectrum. My kids and I took Kalina to Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia and everyone was so nice. I couldn't take two steps without someone wanting to pet her, talk about her. She had so many admirers. One lady just kept saying "Oh, she's so perfect. I want one just like her!" Other dogs were there and she was so excited to see them. It was fun. We had lunch at an outdoor cafe on Walnut Street and everyone was so nice there as well. It was really a great experience. On the way home I stopped at a farmer's market and it was the same thing all over again. Everyone was fussing over her...they even put her on the scale to weigh her (almost 3 pounds!!). So, tell us about some of the really friendly people out there and how they react to your little angels! |
One thing you have to remember....everyone at the DMV is rude whether you have a dog or not. |

Some people are just mean and rude people. |

Yeah, and even if they were rude, don't you think they would be justified? Very few of the people who go into the DMV are cheery, polite people. |
When Bre and I were traveling to PA with Patty Cake We Met Lots of wonderful People. One hotel we stayed at said I think what you are doing is great( My Daughter had to tell EVERYONE) The lady Said I wont charge you for the dogs normal fee or $10.00 per animal! So she saved us $30.00. What a nice lady. I could go on and on but I would be typing forever :) |
Well the ones in Lewisville Tx for the last 30 years (the same ones) were terrible rude. Now I will admit that when we recently moved and went to the one in Denton, they were so nice that I even thanked her. It was not something I was used too! |
I bank at Chase and they love my babies!!! In fact, any size dog can go in and they always have treats waiting. I also am very welcome in my hair salon with my girls, even if I'll be there for a couple of hours. |

Exactly! I worked there for 5 years.. you get screamed and yelled at nonstop cause everyone hates the STATE and it's laws..or people owe fines or their license is suspended..who do you think they take it out on.. I always said.. I don't make the laws..just work here..:( I was a fun job at times.. you get to see everyone some time or another.. and you could run plates all the time.. it was great to be nosey. And I had a great license picture all the time. :D |
I didn't really mean to start a DMV thread. This one lady was grouchy but you can find grouchy people everywhere. Let's talk about the nice people out there. |
At our main bank, they get MAD if we DON'T bring in Mojo. They haven't seen Lily yet, but anytime we would go in without Mojo, they would ask where he was and how he was doing. On the BAD end of the spectrum....there is a small (run down) gas station in the middle of nowhere out close to our house (well, not close, but about 20min away). I normally never stop there, but I had to get some gas or else I wouldn't have made it to town. I had Mojo in my arms and stepped in the door to pay. The lady yelled, "get that damn dog out of here". I was so pissed. I told her that this "dog" was cleaner then her or anything else in that store! aurgh.....it was a dirty gas station, no open food or anything! Some people!!!! |
