What do you do/say when you don't want someone playing with your Yorkie? My boyfriend and I both made the decision that we didn't want his sister's bf playing with our yorkie. The reason is her bf is a jerk...he's rude...and we just plain don't like him or trust him. Well, we've had Tobi (my yorkie) for a month now, and my bf found his sister and her bf playing with Tobi in her room. Needless to say, my bf was less than happy to find Tobi there, and had a stern talk w/her. Now she's upset w/the both of us because she doesn't understand why we don't want her bf playing w/our fur baby. I really don't want to have to expressively say that her boyfriend's an a$$hole, and that we don't have to justify our decisions to her...so what would you guys say? |

Show his sister the pic of Maggie with the cast on her leg and tell her that is why you are worried. |

I explain how fragile they are, and although I'm not trying to be mean I would prefer they just be left alone. |
Thanks for all your useful tips, I'm going to give the "fragile" explanation a try. I tried explaining to her that my bf and I don't feel comfortable with Tobi playing unsupervised with someone we don't know that well, but it's ok for her to play with him. But she is taking it SUPER personally and is getting border-line b*tchy about the whole situation (and she normally isn't a b*tchy person). I just don't want to burn any bridges b/c she is my bf's sister and we usually get along great; the only problem is her bf. |

first of all - Tobi is a real cutie. How old is he ??? Second, tell them it is your dog and if she or they don't respect your wish then don't let her or them play at all with Tobi. I know for shure they get hurt real easy. Does she have something of her own that you can't have or be with ??? Maybe you should try that line - you can give it a try. Good luck - and again Tobi is sweet !!! |

I think your suggestion may sadly be what will happen. After this whole semi-argument, I don't think I can trust her alone w/my pup again. :( |
