How Many Times Do You Bathe Them? * When do you bathe them * Should be for the title. Too bad we can't edit the title--- that's weird. I usually bathe her every 3 weeks or sometimes every two weeks, since I have the oatmeal conditioner, I am not worried much about her skin drying up and getting flaky. How about you guys? |
Slade ends up being about every 3 wks. Just depends on where we are going or where he has been. But it averages out to about to every 3 wks or so. |
I bathe my girls every week-two weeks. Just depends on how busy we are and how dirty they get. I also watch to see if their skin is all dry, it will give you some clues as to if it's drying them out. I wouldn't think every 3 weeks is a problem. I'm not an expert on this stuff though. HeHe |

Thanks for your replies. My old teacher from High School bathed her boy every once a week because she doesn't want his skin to dry! (he's a yorkie too! such a cutie) I thought that was crazy. And in the pictures---it looked like he is one that loves the outdoors as well. But I realized that there is certain shampoos/conditioners that can avoid dry skin. So I was just curious, recalling that moment with my teacher lol. |
I bathe Gracie every 2-3 weeks, or at least I did when her hair was long. Now that it is short who knows? She goes to the groomer every 6-8 weeks. |
I usually give them a bath once a week, sometimes a little longer, but it's much easier for me to bathe on the weekend. So more often than not,it's 1 x per week on the weekend. Quote:

Lacy gets a bath once a week (usually on Sunday night). But this week she had a bath Sunday and then had another Thursday night because we went to the dog show Friday. And we're going to the dog park tomorrow so she'll get another one tomorrow night. Then she'll get another one Friday night because Saturday we are going to my parents and I want her to be clean. So sometimes she gets more than one a week...I would love to bathe her twice a week but it's just too much effort LOL. I bathe her Sundays and usually by Friday I think she's starting to look greasy and her hair doesn't look as pretty. I use Fresh & Clean Oatmeal and Baking Soda Shampoo and also the conditioner. I have started doing V05 Hot Oil Treatments once a week too. My mom bathes her yorkie once a week too |

My three get a bath about once a week. Pinky is cut short with Molly and Princeton in full coats. Saturday morning is the usual bath time. I use a good shampoo and conditioner, finishing with ice on ice to keep the coats shiny. |

My 2 get a bath once a week. Sometimes I let it go to 1 1/2 weeks between times, but not often. They get professionally groomed every 6-8 weeks. |
Once a week.... and then some :) Shelby & Seymour get baths once a week and "1/2 baths" in between. I recently purchased some dry bath shampoo at the groomers. So far it seems to be helping, so those "in-betweens" may be becoming fewer. :D (Being a girl, with long hair, it seems like Miss Shelby needs to be cleaned more due to her "squatting" when she goes pee..) |
I give Roxie 1/2 baths too. And she gets a full bath once a week. Roxie goes to the groomer every 6 weeks. |
