Collars.... I found the cutest pink collar online and I was going to buy it, but I was wondering if Gia will even be able to wear an XS for a while. Should I get her a cat collar while she is still a puppy? Will she ever be able to wear a dog collar? I really like this one, but hate to get it if she'll never be able to wear it. **She is only 7weeks old, hoping to get her in about a month. Right now according to her breeder (I will see for myself on Friday-I am taking a scale) she weighs 1lb 2oz. |
why dont you pm chattiesmom she makes great collars http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86564 You can email the breeder have her measure her neck and get one alittle bigger than that even if its to big she will grow into it your better off with one bigger than smaller cause like i said shell grow into it |
Ok, thanks! I am just so inexperienced with this. I have never had a baby puppy before. |
she doesnt need one till you get her id & rabie shot & tag make sure if you do get one from any where its a break away collar so if she gets stuck on anything it will come right off and never walk her with the collar only use a harness after she gets her shots :D |

I can not tell you how much I appreciate that bit of info! I never even thought of that. I will make sure I do all of that. |
Zoey weighs 3lbs and the kitty collar on the smallest adjustment wont fit her. I have to cut them off and restitch the end. If you dont get a leather one, it is easy to do! Good luck! |
My husband got a cat collar with a bell that has the breakaway clasp for Molly. That helps us to keep up with where she is if she's free in the house..especially helpful during potty training!! If the bell is quiet for long, I know to investigate!! Carla |

Walking your Yorkie on a collar could damage their trachea and potentially cause a collapsed trachea. My site sells harnesses that are both cute and help with walking your dog. Here's a direct link to the harness section if interested. http://www.swankpets.com/collars-har..._65_66_89.html |
