Did Your Puppy Ever Go Through An awkward Looking Phase? Just very recently I have noticed that Livi is looking a bit older and losing her little puppy face. I know this is normal but is it also normal for them to go through an awkard |
Yes, my boyz went through a period when they looked so bad...I think it was between 6 to 10 or 11 months when their adult coat was coming in and they were teething. It was strange...all of the shine left their hair and they looked so gangly for a while! Doggy puberty maybe? I'm glad they grew out of it! |
Did Your Puppy Go Through An Awkward Looking Phase? 4 Attachment(s) Livi turned 17 weeks this past Tuesday and I of course think that she is a cutie-pie but she has really changed in the past few days. Is it normal for them to go through an awkward phase? I know that Harley did around the same age but wasn't sure if others had done this. I think it's because her fur on top of her head has grown so much lately and she is somewhat losing her puppy look in her face. I hope Livi isn't the only one. :( Tammy I have attached some pictures that I took of her this morning. The last one is her way of saying, "ENOUGH WITH THE PICTURES!!" :p |

Oh goodness, how can Livi looks awkward!? Not even in a million years!!! Kisses & Hugs from Maggie & Hannah...:love-hug3 :kiss3: :hearts6: |
right with ya Tammy. Yes.....Diggy is VERY awkward looking right now to me. Everyone says how cute he is and i think hmmmm he just looks funny to me right now....I seriously cannot believe how much he and Livi resemble each other ....You have the hair on ears cut and Diggys is long still....Maybe its the transition from puppy coat to adult coat?? He always looks greasy and unkept to me. So I sympathize with ya and know exactly what your talking about. Right now I call him my frumpy guy....hair is flattening yet still that furry stuff looking dirty.....Ill try and get a pic to show ya what I mean... Oh and to add to it...he is teething teeth are jagged and looking like snaggle tooth....and one ear keeps falling and he is one ear up and one down. If I cut the hair I know it would stand as it really flaps around when he walks so not completely down just well....frumpy lol |

sorry, first & second pic hes older, last pic hes 3 months old |
Livi's a cutie!!! Awkward? I think the awkward stage would be when their ears are going up but usually only one would be up for a few days and then it rotates so the other ear is up. For Daisy, this lasted for a good month or so.. |
Yes, Trace was not a cute dog when I bought him and I bought him on pedigree alone. He has now turned in to a beautiful dog. Who would have known? |
There's no way that Livi is going through an awkward stage. I think she is just gorgeous! |
Oh my gosh...you guys are too sweet! I just adore Livi and I think that she is an adorable puppy, but in person, this awkward look is even more obvious. Her left ear is standing but moves around as she walks and her fur is everywhere...sticking out, curling, going straight, short strands, long strands, knots (that I have tried and tried to get out), etc. Poor little baby, she is just going through a phase, I guess. I can't remember how long this lasted with Harley. How long would you guys say this lasts? I really don't think that Harley's got really bad until he started teething. It was then pretty bad because his body was going through all sorts of changes and he had one ear up and one down. I am really hoping that this is the extent of the awkward stuff for Livi. Tammy |
Awwwww your baby is adorable!!!! All of my furbabies went through an akward stage and some are WAY worse than others. My Nadia is 5 months and looks VERY odd right now...not suprising as her Mommy also looked soooo odd from about six months to almost a year. |
