Hi all, I have not posted in a while, but I am looking to add to my family and found this little girl. She is 6mths old. I asked the weight and was told she would be 4-6lbs full grown. Do you all think she is pure? I think she looks a little big for her age. Please any comments would be greatly appreciated. They are asking $550 for her. Thanks meeshue

She does to me and love that 2nd picture. That's a great price....but don't overly worry about weight when choosing a puppy - if she's healthy that's the main thing -

I agree with the weight. The owners said she was utd on shots and she has akc paper, but they cannot find the papers. Should I be concerned about that? I just want to make the right decision this time. Thanks for all the help. meeshue

For the price I wouldnt worry about the Akc papers. They are really only important if you are going to breed or show

That sounds a little odd to me that they "cannot find the papers". If her papers are important to you I would consider that a red flag. She looks all Yorkie to me, but she could still be mixed. How much does she weigh now? It is so hard to tell the size in a picture. Personally I think she's a doll, but I'm tired of these so called breeders that either lie or are evasive about something.

She is not coming from a breeder. This is a person who has 2 other pets in the house and her mom just moved in and is needing to rehome one. She said landloard said only 2 pets. So this little one is the youngest of the 3 so she decided to rehome her. She did not tell me exact weight as of now, just that she would be 4-6lbs when full grown. We are communicating over the internet right now. I did not see the pup in person yet.

Its a really low price, lower than a lot of unregistered yorkies are sold, so I wouldn't worry. If she really is registered and they just can't find the papers, there should be a way to re-issue them to you.

Papers are not the only issue for me right now. As you can see from my avatar, my sasha, she is reg, ckc full bred and I know that is not true. So papers are not the only thing going on here. I want to make the right decision this time and not act to hastily. I am in no hurry to get another, but as I was looking on cl today I came across this little baby. I am torn! I don't want to pass up this one due to price, but yet something is telling me she is not right for me. I am all mixed up. I really appreciate you all taking the time to give your opions. meeshue

she does to me. I wouldn't worry too much about weight, Sammy is pure and he's already 5.6 at 4 months.

I think you did the right thing. When in doubt best to wait.

The papers prove that both yorkie parents were pure bred and that is what I understand you were concerned about along with weight.

What a find! I would not hesitate at all. She looks all Yorkie to me and what
a sweet face she has. For the asking price I wouldn't worry about papers unless you were going to breed her or show her. I think you will be sorry
if you don't get her. If she's healthy I would not worry about her weight.
The above standard weight are wonderful loving pets and it is truly
safer, if there are children in the house, for the Yorkie being alittle larger.

Good Points :thumbup: . I know with me, having a three year old in the house, and Aubrey being bigger, I feel more comfortable not to have my eyes on them at all times.

She looks pure to me... She's adorable.. Yeah don't worry about the size... The breeder we got Dunks fromsaid that he'll be around 10 lbs, he's almost 14 lbs now!!! I love it though coz I can be rough with him and not worry that I might break some bones. LoL

Same with me. Aubreys breeder said that he would be 7 lbs top. Well he will be a year old in October and we are working with 12 lbs. We are rough with him.. I like how you put that "You don't have to worry about breaking any bones..".. ;)
