Little itty bitty teeny tiny red itchy bugs. We are (not so) blessed with them here in Indy. They dig in and itch like skeeters!! I'm not sure if they can move from dog to person, though, maybe someone else knows. Sorry, wish I could help more. Hope you get some good suggestions. |

I believe you can buy something to put on your lawn that will keep chiggars and fleas away...I may have to look into it myself. |
Oh mercy! I had chiggers when I was in college back in 1673! They were awful. they itched soooo bad and I scratched them at night in my sleep and the ones on the backs of my legs got infected. I thought they would never heal. Fortunately no scars 'cause i had nice legs when I was young. Calamine lotion helps on people - dont know about pets. I had to get UV light treatments. OH I had forgotten how awful that was. Icky! Yes, there is a spray for them and some granules that you can put on your grass to kill them. Sorry i don't know what it's called though. Good luck! |

When i lived in Arkansas a few years ago, I was told that the chlorine in pools helps..as far as i remember it did.. |

I'd definitely get the yard treated and ask your vet about getting something to spray on your couch. I remember having them so bad once it looked like I had red socks on. Co-worker suggested that I poor bleach on them to kill them. My dumb a$$ believed him and it set my butt on fire! |

no way on his skin !! Nail polish would burn his skin....You poor thing - chiggers ?? I know what they are but have never had one on me - I saw them on CSI and saw the damage they can do... are you sure they aren't fleas ?? Just to be safe - you should treat your yard. I do mine with a spray every 2 months no matter what - I'm in houston and we have lots of bugs and there is stuff you can use that's safe as long as you let it completely dry. ...after 10 years of doing this - I've never had any problems with my girls & we've never had fleas. if he's really itching too you may want the vet to take a look at him. There's another thing dogs can get that's VERY hard to treat - which is mites - they can make you really itch too. :( GOOD luck |
