Now She Is Used To Me All Hours Of The Night Letting Her Out To Do Her Business.....what Can I Do Now That Ruined That One........help |
Yeah. I know its hard. But you can't train them over night. I am crate training Jeremiah as well. What is time does she eat? I think it all depends on what time they eat. Jeremiah eats around 8pm and he goes to bed around 11pm. I take him outside during the day every hour. But at night I take him out once or twice which is after I feed him. Then if he does use the bathroom. I put him in his crate so he can use the bathroom in it. Then he will understand how to use the bathroom outside not in the crate. I know its confusing but that is what the breeder told me plus he was paper trained. |
. Well She Really Eats When She Wants To.... My Mom Takes Her To Work With Her.... If Shes Not In Her Crate The Food Is Out. Now I Take Her Food And Water Away Around 7pm Or 8.... I Think That Too Late Right?... |
No. I think that is a great time to take the water and food away. Does she stay with your mother all day? |
. Mom Works 3 Days A Week And When Shes Not Working She Comes Over Every 3 To 4 Hrs To Let Her Out Of Her Cage.... She Drops Lexi Back Off At My House Around 4:15. I Come Home At 1730... |
Katia is 9 weeks old and I had her for a week. She has always slept all night and she wakes up at around 6:30am. We let her out to potty and she usually does at that time. She does sometimes have accidents in her crate but it's usually between the time she wakes up and the time we get her to the litterbox/pad combination. Some have said it was too early but we have her on a eating and drinking schedule. Her last water is at 7:45pm and that gives us enough time to play with her and get her (usually) final bathroom breaks for the night. Perhaps you should try a schedule. When you let her out is she already awake or are you waking her up? If she's sleep I would suggest you let her sleep. Her having accidents in the crate isn't the worse thing that can happen. If she is up and needing to go to the bathroom perhaps you should stop feeding her a little earlier. I'm far from an expert but this works for me. Good luck. |
Ok. I would take her out too much. Jeremiah goes out about 4 times a day. I think you are taking her out to many times a day. But thats just my opinion. I am a new Yorkie mommy myself and I am still trying to train JereBo. Has she ever been by herself before? Even though I am home most of the time. I go places with my parents and keep Jeremiah in the crate. And when we come back and if he doesn't use the bathroom in his crate we take him outside and if he doesn't use the bathroom oustide we put him back in the crate. We do this every hour. Then when he does pee pee or poop in the right spot we let him run around and play. |
I would definately let her sleep until she wakes you up! Chances are she won't go in her crate unless no one ever lets her out. This is what I did with Snoodles, and I usually was up about 2 times a night with her. She finally potty trained at 9 months! Thought I would die of exhaustion before that happened! But as far as waking the dog up, I would definately say NO! You don't want to set a habit that will be hard to break. The dog will let you know when it has to go! Pat |
. Heres The Thing... I Keep Her In The Bathroom B/c I Had Construction In My Kitchen And The Whole Place Was Loaded With Boxes And You Know Kitchen Stuff... So The Safest Place Was There And Also Away From Me So She Dont Keep Me Up By Crying... Well Im Up Anyway Cause Im A Bunch Of Nerves... , How Will I Know If She Has To Go Potty If I Dont Hear Her?? |
Have you ever consider of pulling pennies in a glass jar and shaking it when they whine at night. They have sensitive ears so the racking rings them. They'll stop after a few nights and a few tries. |
When I Put Her In To Sleep For The Night I Run To My Bedroom So I Wont Hear Her Cry..... I Never Hear Her Cry.... Im Just Worried If She Does Cry And Im Not There For Her.... What I Really Need To Know Is ,,, Can I Leave Her In Crate From Bed Time Till At I Get Up In The Morning For Work... |
Some puppies whine when they have to go outside and other let themselves go in their crates. Which is a good thing and a bad thing. When pets don't use the bathroom in the right place or no use the bathroom at all. Owners usually put them in their crates one reason if they don't go to the right place. If the owner puts the pet in the crate it is almost likely the pet will use the bathroom in there. Which is good and bad. Good thing is that crates are the pets den but pee pee spot. And they don't like being or sleep in the spot where the peed. Bad thing is...well there is no bad thing I can think of now. Anyway it will let the pet understand to use the bathroom in the right place or just use the bathroom at that point. |
I think she is still too young to go the complete night without going potty. I really think you will hear her, because they can really screech when they want to. As far as her sitting up when you go to the bathroom, they are very in tune to their owners, so, yes, I believe it's because she heard you. Can't you put her in the bedroom with you? My vet also said to cover the crate with material so she couldn't see me all the time, and that helped a lot. Good Luck! Pat |

No. Its alright. I like helping people with their yorkies. |
Tucker is 9 1/2 weeks old. He sleeps in my bed at night. I wake up once during the night to go to the bathroom myself, so I always scoop him up and take him with me. He goes on the pee-pee pad and then back to bed. He sleeps then until about 6 am. If you are worried about hearing her you might get one of those baby monitors, probably cheap at a garage sale. I wouldn't wake her ever to go. It's like training her to wake up and have to go out. Hopefully she'll be sleeping through the night soon and so will you! |
. She Will Not Sleep With Me.... She Likes Sleeping Alone.... She Doesnt Cuddle Yet.... I Hate That..... In The Moring When I Get Up I Take Her And Go Lie On The Bed Hoping She Will Cuddle And All She Wants To Do Is Get Off The Bed .....even When I Lay On The Couch She Lays On The Other End Towards My Feet On The Pillow...it Drives Me Crazy.... |
I would not wake her up to bring her outside to go potty. She will let you know when she has to go! Trust me! Don't get in a habit that will last a life time! Let us know how it works! Pat |
. Last Night Was The First Night She Slept In My Room... I Woke Up Around 1:30 To Go To The Bathroom And Let Her Out Took Her With Me And She Made Potty. , Went Back And Put Her Back In Her Cage.. So Far So Good But It Was Only 1 Night....i Try To Get Her Tired At Night So She Goes Right To Bed... She Usually Wants To Go To Sleep When It Gets Dark... |
All Right! That is a break through! I think for the most part it is working! Mine also gets real tired and wants to sleep from about eight on. It's okay now, but when she was little, I kept finding reasons to wake her up! Ha! Let us know how tonight goes! Pat |
