Yorkshire TERROR  Susanah is a total wild child! She has two speeds - wide open and sleep. She refuses to hold still to be groomed. She fights like a wild tiger when I try to clean her ears. She jumps, bounces, and fights when I try to bathe her. I get wetter than she does! She runs through the house like a bat out of hell growling and tackling Josephine. Her latest trick? Throwing herself against the sides of her stroller at night and then yelping like she is hurt so I'll get her out and check on her and stay away all night while she sleeps peacefully in my bed - which is where she wanted to sleep in the first place. Now I would LOVE to have her sleep with me, but I am soooo paranoid about her falling/jumping off the bed and getting hurt. She sleeps (well, she is supposed to sleep) in her stroller pulled right next to my side of the bed so she is as close as possible. First she whines. Then, when that doesn't work, she barks. If I ignore that she scratches and whines and barks and acts like she is going to tear the stroller to shreds. If I ignore all of that, she starts the throwing herself against the sides. I love her and wouldn't trade her for anything in the world, but my lord she is going to give me a heart attack. She is also the queen of *drum roll please* Saddest Puppy Eyed Look Ever Given to a Human! Which she only does when she is in trouble. All I have to say is, "Scarlet Susanah Belle!" and she stops in her tracks, drops her head, and looks up at me all sad and pitiful like, "What is it, Mommy? What did you use my big name for? I love you." *sigh* spoiled little brat. |
Sounds like you got a full fledged drama Diva on your hands:) . Isn't it funny how they learn so young how to "work Mommy over". Hang in there Momma!!! I know in my house, "yorkshire terrier" and "spoiled rotten" mean the same thing!!!;) |
hehehe, I am sorry, but that is TOO cute! |
and the problem would be? rofl! hang in.....before you know it she'll be a big girl! |

Ana is the same way! I can't get her to sit still for anything! On top of that, she loves destroying things and making a mess! Just the other day, I had picked up at least two dozen of her toys that were spread throughout the house and I put them in her condo. Ten minutes later, I look around and see every single toy out of the condo and spread back throughout the house! Ugh... And I couldn't get mad at her, cuz she gave me those puppy eyes. |

I have a few families that call me to tell me this is happening to them. I tell them they need to take back the Pack Leader position and quit being a litter mate. |
I do believe your little terror is related to my little terror! This sounds a lot like Archie in his early brathood. It's amazing how far they get with a well-timed whine and those little brown saucer eyes! |
Susanah will be 16 weeks old tomorrow so I'm crossing my fingers this is just her "terrible two" stage and she will grow out of at least some of it! |
I'm so glad I have boyz...there's no drama with boyz! |
Awwww I loved reading your post! I can just see all of her drama. My two can both be quite dramatic and Simon has the biggest, puppy dog eyes ever. I sympathize completely but aren't we very lucky at the same time? ;) |
it sounds like you have my dogs at your house!!!! Karlee and Parker do the SAME THING!!!!! |
LOL you DO have a terror! When I'm done taking Teddy a bath he will run around ang growl like a mad man. lol If he is in trouble he will give me that puppy look, it's sooo cute cause he's got these big pretty eyes and long lashes. |

I have all girls and they are awlful for potty training and restless But I love them any way Try useing a lead to tie her to something while you bath her ..like what groomers do. or get in the tub with her. My Sissy was awlful for bath time so I would shower/bath with her, it helped alot actually it was fun fun fun:animal36 :animal36 |
I always try to tell people that you have a choice. You can have a Yorkshire Terrier or a Yorkshire Terrorist. It looks like you have chosen the latter.:aimeeyork |
LOL that is so funny! Your have a wild one on your hands - just like I do :D And the title of your thread just cracked me up. My hubby and I have always called our babies, our little "Yorkshire Terrorists" LOL :p |
