Thomas is in love... 2 Attachment(s) Thomas is my husband. He's a big bad retired counter-terrorism Army Ranger - all man. He has never said no to me in the years we have been married but he was less than thrilled when I took him with my to pick up Lucy the day we brought her home. Even more so when he saw all the "pink" leashes and harnesses arriving my mail. "I'm not walking a little runt on a pink leash" was his mantra on the way home. Over the weeks things have changed, he taught her to swim, has pulled more than one stuck poop clump from her butt (lol) and loves to play ball with her. Lucy sleeps with me at night until Thomas comes to bed then he takes her to the kitchen to sleep in her bed until morning. He has warmed well to her (who can resist since she covers him with kisses and tail wags when he enters the room) but he finally fell in love last night. When I got up this morning I brought her to bed to wake him up and he said to me "I finally get it". I asked him what he meant and he said that last night after I fell asleep she climbed up on him and fell asleep on his chest. He said he couldn't stop looking at her and when he would move she would lift her face and look at him and he just "fell in love". It was a sweet moment for me and I know why I married him. This is Thomas and Lucy in case you haven't seen them together already, and the other is of us together a few weeks ago. Life is good and I am very grateful. Happy Friday All! |
This is so sweet! These little monkeys are hard to resist for long, aren't they? |
Awwwww. That's so sweet my coffee won't need sugar!!!:) |
My husband was the same way..When we first got Izzy he would tell everyone it was my dog and all my idea and wanted to disown the whole ordeal in front of people. A couple months later and he is now prob more attached to her than I am...they really are irrestistable! |
That is so sweet!! I know exactly what you mean...my husband just absolutely LOVES our babies, he is way more protective than me, he calls to see what they are doing, when we are out somewhere and can't take them, he is the first to say that we need to get home to them. I know I love my husband even more than I already did just because of his complete love for our furbabies!! |
What a great read, thanks for sharing this! Sounds like your life is full of sweetness right now, as it should be. |
Oh that is so sweet. No matter how in love my husband is with the dogs, he still refusues to walk them with their harness dresses on though. LOL:p |
Awww what a sweet story!! no one can resist these lil furbabies!! :D |
1 Attachment(s) that is the sweetest story :) Thanks for sharing. My hubby also fell in love with our baby after we got her. He didn't really want her in the beginning, but from the moment we picked her up he was smitten. I have a picture attached of his face at the ferry terminal when we got her.....we were both so happy. I see the image is very small, but well you will get the idea...... these babies are so special... |
What a cute story!! Your a lucky woman. My husband is a police officer and ALL MAN too. He was the same way. But when we comes home she is more excited to see him then me and he just soaks it up! They are just the cutest little things... |
