Anyone know how to find out pet limit laws? After all the recent hoopla over pet limit laws, I'm curious to know what the pet limit laws are here, specifically for Philadelphia, PA. I'm sure I am not close, but I'm just curious as to what they are. Anyone know of a website for pet limit laws, specifically for Philadelphia or PA? |
I live in York County Virginia, so I googled York County Virginia Government. Then looked for their link to animal control. |
I doubt that there is any law persay (doubt you can have 50 or so dogs without out some special classification for kenneling). I think for the poster that was questioning it earlier was because she was in the service and they use base housing and probably outside housing geared to our service personell. Apt buildings in general have their own allowable numbers. |
Each county has their own limits, so you can just call your city's county clerk and they can tell you :) |
And know, too, that a city can have ITS own rules, too. Mine does. I think it's two each cats/dogs. |

I google everything - you'd be surprised what you find. |
Yep. Google is pretty good for all that kind of stuff. |

Our city permits no more than a combo of 3 cat/dogs. Otherwise a kennel license is required. I've got my limit! Ours are licensed through our City's Health Department. Call you local government and they can perhaps transfer you around several times :D til you find the right department. Yup, I worked for our local government so I know how they operate. Good luck finding your information. |
