Cats and Dogs - And the food they steal! I am having one heck of a time getting my cat to leave Lucy's puppy food alone. I want to leave her gated area open all the time when we are home to keep her potty training going (it's going well) but no matter what, one of my cats comes in to eat her food. I free feed her since it will take all day for her to get the amount she needs. Any suggestions? It's driving me crazy, plus once she has free reign of the house I'm going to want to leave her food during the day... Thanks |
If you find the answer please let me know lol. My cat, Siris is constantly trying to steal Lexie's food. Siris is 18lbs and Lexie is only 4lbs. Lexie's still pretty submissive to Siris and she LOVES him to pieces. It's almost become a game for Lexie now. I honestly think she enjoys it. When it's time for her to eat she literally looks for Siris. The only thing I can do is supervise while Lexie eats and when Siris tries to push Lexie to the side I say "uh uh Siris" which gets Lexie excited. I have Lexie on a twice a day schedule and I leave dry kibble out all the time for her to nibble on. |
Have some fun.... Buy a squirt gun and hide where kitty kitty can't see you. when the little thief shows up than squirt away. :lol tears. |
