Welcome Welcome!!! We got our puppy at 7 weeks too and she is doing just fine. Only thing I would recommend.. take her to the vet ASAP! I wouldn't worry about getting her that early. Our baby has been doing great. She is 10 weeks now and you will have so much fun! There are so many nice and helpful people on this website who know so much and are very helpful! |
Congrats on the new baby. I got Murfee almost 3 years before I was ever on YT and have learned so much. I also Murfee at barely 7 weeks and I had no whining because he slept in bed with me. Thank goodness (since I knew nothing) Murfee never had any health problems and never once peed on my bed. He was very easy to train. Good luck and I know you will love it here on YT. Patty |
welcome to YT. Glad to have you with us. |
Welcome to YT Joyce and congrats on Marshall...you have years of love and devotion with a yorkie!! Congrats!! Dawn |
Thank You everyone Thanks Everyone for the gracious welcomes. We are learning so much. Wanted to explain about why we got him so early. It was not so much my choice. I have always wanted a Yorkie(lol) surprise? My BF has 2 girls(sisters). She bred both girls about 3 years ago and ended up with one little girl that she gave to my daughter. Turned out to be a small teapot-9.5 lbs. (LOL) Best little girl. I wanted one for myself so she said to wait a couple of years and she would try again. So she bred both girls again early this spring??? One had 2 pups and one had 3 pups. Marshall came from the little of 3. He was the only one of the litter of 3 to survive. Mama would have nothing to do with him. She would only nurse if someone force her to lay down and nurse. never voluntarily. As he got older, she really started rejecting him. The other sister tried to nurse him but Mama didn't want him and did not want her to want him. So BF called me up and said for his safety- we really needed to pick him up this particular weekend(the weekend we got him). He has been doing great so far. We started him on the Canidae(which we feed our other guys). He is not caring for that. So for now he gets wet food. Vet says for his size- prob just as well. We supplement with Nutrical 3-4 times a day. He loves it tremendously. Was hoping for another teapot but vet & BF think he is gonna be small like Mama. But he has a better attitude about life. Not like Mama..Thank Goodness... So he is 9 weeks now and doing great. Will post more pics soon. |
Welcome! My name is Joyce too. I have a little male yorkie that will be four months old on the 4th of August. He is a lot bigger than your new baby. Aren't Yorkies just so sweet? :aimeeyork |
