nutri-cal Were getting our new puppy in about 2 weeks he will be 9 weeks then. I know nutri-cal is supposed to raise their blood sugar, but i was wondering if you only give it to them when there not eating a lot, or if you give them a little bit everyday. Also, any other new puppy advice is greatly appreciated! :) |
If the puppy is real tiny you may want to give some each day or if he is stressed or not eating give him some. The breeder should be able to advise you on if he needs it every day or not. It is definately something you want to have on hand. Where in Illinois are you? am in northern Il. Can't wait to see pics of your baby. |

Nine weeks is a bit young....but, that was not your question. Nutrical can throw a puppy into a hyperglycemic attack if not administered correctly. If over doing it it can cause a puppy to become diabetic....The best thing to do is to make sure the puppy has several small meals a day, plenty of water and not to let them over play and gets plenty of rest. |
