Big dog encounter while walking Whenever I walk my 2 around the block we always go past this one house that has a really big dog. The dog starts going crazy when we are nearby. He starts jumping up and I swear one of these times he will actually get enough momentum to get over the fence. What would you do? Should I just leave that street out of our walk? (Normally I just go around the big block and I'd have to pass that house, but it's scary!) |
I quit going down this one street during walks because of a big vicious dog behind an old chain link fence. I was really worried he was going to get out |
Speaking from somebody who has had their yorkie attacked and themselves by a big dog.....AVOID going past that house! As hard as it is to do, you're better off avoiding the whole situation. I also walk both of mine seperately now....way less worries about who I can grab in time should I have too. |

That's what I was beginning to think. I will now avoid that street...better to be safe than sorry. Thanks for your tips! |
Oh Michelle, I would highly recommend changing your route . . .you just might never know . . he just might do that one day . . . it is not worth the worry :) kisses to Bernie and Kona . . hope you had a great 4th |
I know how nerve racking it is when you know there is a aggressive dog where your walking. If you can I would avoid the area. Better safe than sorry. There are two pit bulls right accross from me. One is his grandpup that he watches from time to time. I swear that dog is going to go through the second floor window one day. He hates all animals. I can not avoid it because I have to go out the door which faces the window in the next unit. I can see the pit going right through the screen. It's all scratched up now. The dog is a rescue and is just plain vicious. His pit is very friendly and he and Buddy have been friends all along. The other is bad news. |
