Gracie wasn't scared! We just finished watching fireworks out the window and on TV. Gracie was intrigued by all the bangs and booms, and watched the fireworks on TV several times. In between, she chased the kitties and ate treats, and cuddled with mom. She never shook once! I am so proud of my baby girl! |
And you were worried about how she'd do! :D |
Good Girl Gracie!!! |
Wow. That's fantastic. Way to go, Gracie! Ozzie still barks at the louder ones. He finally gave up earlier as it sounded at one point like my entire neighborhood was under siege. Toby the Cat, who is the poster boy for "scaredy cat" surprised me. He ran to the door when the bottle rockets were shrieking by earlier to see what they were. I thought for sure he'd be terrified. Go figure ... |
Good girl Gracie. Sissy and Angel started barking at the first boom, but then watched them out of the window with us!! |
aww...what a good girl you are Gracie! sounds like you enjoyed the fireworks! |
Yay for Gracie! I was so proud of Tatum too. We've worked really hard to make sure she's not sensitive to these things (like thunder also). My husband lit some firecrackers and she ran to get in the door to come to me but then when we actually started the fireworks, she just sat on my lap real quiet and actually watched them. Last year I had to really hold her tight and talk to her the whole time so she wouldn't crawl up my neck but she did great this year. Stormie (our Aust. Shep), on the other hand, just laid behind me on the porch and hid her head! She's barely two years old though so hopefully she'll be better next time also. |
