Indestructable toy?? Or at least one he can't tear up the same day he gets it. My daughter has an 8 month old male that tears up every toy she buys. She bought him 2 from Petco over the weekend and had to throw both away the same day. Do any of you have this problem? |
Daisy does the same..but now she's got too many toys to just focus on destroying one. Seems to work. I havent had a broken toy in a 2 months. hehe I've got the ''hide-a-squirrel'' toy and it seems to be holding up pretty well and then there's the 'plastic bone' toys with rope things hanging off it that she naws on alot and its been around for over 6 months. ;) If you're buying ''sqeaky toys'', look for ones that are made of a thicker, canvas-like material so that way it's harder for them to puncture and therefore longer lasting. Hope this helps! |
If you are looking for a plush squeeky toy I gave heard of ones that look like a bear for example and the arms, legs and head "tear" away so your dog gets the satisfaction of wrecking a toy. Then these parts can be reattached because they are velcro-ed to the torso (if that makes any sense). I love (or rather Tia loves) the everlasting treat ball....the rubber holds up really well! And the treat is tricky to get at, so it really does last a long time. I've also seen a toy in stores that comes in a variety of sizes. It is made of the same fabric as firehoses (I think), and the best way to describe its shape is to compare it to a squid (gathered at one end, and many "legs" at the other). I think it's called a wubba or wee wubba. Hopefully someone here can verify what these toys are really called so you can search for them. HTH |
I laughed when I read about all the toy distroyers we all have. Our male, Harley is the leader of the toy distroyer club! He can chew any toy right down to the stuffing, until I found this toy at PetSmart. It doesn't have a name on it, but it a soft rubber kangaroo that he has played with for over 3 weeks and it doesn't have a mark on it. I will get the name and maker of this wonderful toy when I go back. |
