Stinkin(I was going to say something else) scammers anyway
 

I just got a call from a very nice gentleman in California that was concerned because he replied to a for sale add from a (you guessed it)missionary in Nigeria that had to get rid of their dog. We all know the story because we had heard it a 100 times. Anyway the guy responded to them and asked for pictures and the friggen scammer sent him pictures off of my website. The dumb a**es werent even smart enough to take Shailablueyorkies off of the picture before they sent it. The guy from California pulled up my website and low and behold there are the same pictures of my dogs only the scammer gave them new names. Thank goodness he was nice enough to call ( I dont know how he got my number since it isnt on my website and neither is my name). Maybe from a different advertisement. He said he had to do some researching to find me. Good thing there are honest people in this world. I emailed the scammer and gave them a piece of my mind. I dont know if there is any way to track these SOBs or not. Just wanted to vent. Man I hate people that dont want to work and would rather try and scam poor innocent people out of their money. I just hope no one fell for it.

I'm happy that this guy informed you, but I imagine they will continue to use your pictures.

Maybe you could put a disclaimer on your website letting people know that you are not a missionary in nigeria.

There is a way that you can make the pictures on your website "copyrighted material" so that people can't download them. Basically when someone right clicks on them to save the picture, a message comes up telling them that they can't and that it's wrong to steal pictures anyway. I don't know the code to do this, but my boyfriend is a web developer so I can ask him if you want. He's in Utah for a family wedding, and he gets back on the fourth so I can ask him then.

there is an html code that you can put on your website where it disables right clicking. if someone tries to right click and save your pictures, a message will come up (whatever message you want it to be) i helped make an organization website and we disabled right-clicking and if someone right-clicked, it said 'SEE YOU LATER' and their internet browser closes them out.

Yes, that is pretty much what I was thinking about. Do you know the code?

I tried his tip on a website that I know the pictures are protected and it didnt work. I couldnt get it to disable the right click on the picture.

There are so many ways around the disabled Right Click function I can mostly always snag a picture if I set my mind to it - very few sites are foolproof and fully protected -

LOL...I was able to snag my own after I saw Jeannies tip but I tried snagging someone elses and I couldnt. I am pretty computer ignorant though so that isnt saying much. I actually write my name on all of my pictures on my website thinking that would make people not steal them but the idiots stole them and sent them to this prospective buyer anyway and my name is right there on the picture. I guess I need to write it right across the dogs face or something.

Hey Barb, At least the scammer has good taste, you have some beautiful pictures on your site. Your an excellent photographer. Maybe I should have you help me with my web site if I ever get around to creating one.

Thanks Tami. My husband is actually the photographer. Most of the ones I take end up blurry. I just go in a get them ready and do the website work. I dont know how much help I can be unless you use the same people I do but I will sure try.

There was a scammer on here yesterday! Of course, SuperAdmin took over
faster than a speeding bullet.

There's always someone who's trying to make money by hurting someone else. If they put all that effort into a real job they could accomplish something worthwhile.

CO_yorkie_momma I went to your web site and you have BEAUTIFUL babies, I especially love Chance...I think that he and Hannah favor a lot and they are born in the same month. If things were different around here, I would definetly take a trip to CO and get Chance....:D

Oh thanks for the nice compliment. Chance stole my heart from the second he was born. He was my favorite out of the litter and I was bummed big time when he developed an underbite and I couldnt use him in my breeding program. It doesnt make him any less cuter that is for sure. He looks like he has a big smile on his face all the time and he is a little clown. He says Hannah is quite a pretty girl too and he wouldnt mind a little visit from her. LOL....I need to get him fixed, he takes after his daddy and would have made a perfect stud because he is always humping on everyone. He isnt even particular about which end he humps either.:rolleyes:

I think that the underbite is adorable (even though I know that it is undesirable). If I didn't already have my hands full I would not hesitate to drive there and pick him up. And about the humping, Hannah is the only female I have and she is fixed so that wouldn't be too big of a problem...LOL.

LOL...Hannah would probably show him whose boss real quick if he even thought about it. :)

I cant believe this. I just got another email from someone telling me someone was trying to sell them my dogs and sent them my pictures. Same missionary story and same pictures as the last one. They are going to forward the letter to me but I bet it is the same piece of scum. I wonder where they are advertising my dogs at? This is driving me crazy.
