Armani's vet app today
 
Well We had a vet app today. He is in good overall health. We got the last distemper shot as well and are scheduled for the Rabies for next Sat. She said his teeth look good and most of his baby teeth have fallen out :):thumbup: thank god for that. He is now up to 3.4lb :D so thats good too (up from 2.8 three weeks ago). However, only one of his testicles has dropped :( So we are waiting until 8 months to neuter and hopefully though highly unlikely that his other testicle will fall. If it doesn, then they have to do a more extensive neuter and try to find it. has anyone else ever had this happen? I got so scared when they told me that.

sounds like a great check up! I've personally never had one was an undescended testicle but I understand they all do well after their neuter. I'm sure he'll be just fine!

I was told that when one of the two testicles that didn't descend are usually in the thigh or the abdomen. I'm not sure though so don't take my word on it.

is it okay to have the distemper shot and the rabies in the same day? i think skoshis was seperated.

my aunt had a cat like that he is fine now but they had to search for the testicle while in surgery and she had to pay more.

Here we go again, Tatiana! Having the same experiences. Wylie had 1 descended testicle - so they had to go in for the other one. It wasn't the best of experiences bc of the vet I went to - we ended up in the ER later that night bc the swelling was monstrous and he had a huge hematoma.

Once we got his pain addressed and assured that he was okay and put on some add'l meds - he healed up in a snap!

It shouldn't be major surgery, so if your vet has done his share of cryptorchids, Armani should be just fine! I was shocked at how fast Wylie was up and at 'em!

O my!!! we are constantly in the same boat. The vet said its pretty common and that prob every 1 in 5 dogs she neuters has this problem. I am still gonna look around and see if any others vets are more experienced. How is Marcel? Please dont tell me only one of his dropped too!

They wanted to give him the shot at the same time, then I think the vet saw my scared look and suggested we do them a week apart..

Not in our yard, but the neighbors. We are prob gonna get together and pay for the private relocation of the fox. :) until then, he is only allowed out with supervision, even on the patio.
