When she see's him she goes CRAZY!! I have a cat named Sebastion. But Pippa knows him as "Kitty Kitty". Well, everytime he wants in, and he comes in. You should see her fly to the door. She jumps all over him and just goes crazy. OoOh hah. My brother just let the cat in..now she is going crazy, but anyway. Every once in a while, the cat will swipe her, and like hit her warningly and she will back off. What I want to know is if thats a normal thing? Do your yorkie's do that if you have a cat? |
Olivia is all over our cat. She paws at him and jumps on him to get him to play. He was a little apprehensive of her at first, but I think he enjoys the companionship now. Since she's not fully vacinated yet and isn't allowed to be around other dogs, Theo is her only friend and she loves him soooo much! Last night she was playing with him... and playing... and playing... until I finally insisted on a Time Out for the two of them. They both sat there panting, with their little tongues hanging to the ground! For any of you that have never seen a cat pant, it's a little creepy! (I can't explain it, it's just weird!) I had to laugh- they're both nuts!! I call Theo the babysitter. Olivia is too fast too keep a constant eye on when she's darting in and out of the living room furniture. I just have to find Theo and if she's not right next to him, she's right in his line of vision. He keeps her occupied and rarely lets her out of his sight. Of course, I would do the same if I were him- if he looks away for a second, that's usually when Olivia tackles him! |
Before I learned I had severe allergies to cats, I had a snowshoe named Snickers. He was completely declawed and never set foot outside (except for one terrifying adventure out to the backyard! lol)... Poochie grew up with him for 7 months before I got another pup. Snick and Poochie would actually wrestle around ALL the time! Of course, the cat was about 4 lbs. bigger, so he would win most of the time, but they would tear around the house and stop occasionally to 'box' with each other. The first one to get yelled at to stop all the ruckus was the loser! ;) |
Hefner and Paris, my persian, play and play and play! They love each other two. Paris get a little overwhelmed now because Chai will join in and she sometimes runs away because two are a little much for her. But she is actually very gentle and she "dabs" at them with her claws not out. It's really fun to watch. She just goes up high somewhere when she doesn't want to play any more. |
awww lol. My cat hates it. He is constantly running from her. Its crazy!! but cute |
I think my cat tried to like Brutus and even licked him a few times but lately I think he realizes the dog isn't going anywhere so now he hates him! Brutus is dying to play with him but I don't think the cat appreciates being jumped on licked and nipped. He hisses at Brutus once in a while and it scares him enough that he cries and backs off. But not long enough. I never let them be in the same room alone since I don't trust the cat. The other day he was sitting on an end table stalking Brutus and his rear started wiggling (those with cats know what I mean) ready to pounce but I caught him in time. Plus the cat is 18 lbs. and Brutus is a little over 4 so there's a huge size difference! I was hoping they'd become friends but I don't know about that anymore. |
aww poor brutus! hehe. I think the cat likes her when she sits still, but not when she is jumpin on him. He's pretty old, he is at least 12 |
Maybe when Brutus gets a little older and out of the "Mr. Exitable, look at me, let me jump on you, tongue wagging, tail wagging, licking, biting stage and can sit still for two minutes just maybe the cat would warm up to him a bit! :D |
I have four cats, all indoors and Roxy loves them. They're all so much bigger than her and she loves to wrestle and play with one in particular, sometimes they just like to lay in the sun together while he grooms her, it's so funny to see a cat licking a dog's face, but she loves it :) |
lol! yorkies just get so excited when they see another animal, don't they! pippa loves to chase birds and squirrels. |
Fred does that to my boyfriends 50-lb chow/lab mix. She looks like she gets annoyed. We try to say NO! but Fred always gives her a paw in the face when he jumps up and down around her! So it must not be just cats, lol |
Bailey always attacks the cat (Toto) when he comes inside,, the cat is ALWAYS trying to get away from the dog,, wants NOTHING to do with him, I know Bailey just wants to play,, But Toto says " NO WAY" Occasionally Bailey will run behind Toto, and run his head under his rear end and pick him off the ground and run so Toto is running with his front paws only and his back legs in the air on Baileys head. WE call this move the " WHEEL BARREL" :D |

I think I lost 20 lbs since we got the puppy because I can never sit down. I'm always up down up down on the lookout for the next confrontation! |
Bella attacks our cats too. The ppo girl cat is 13 years old and quiet and can't stand Bella, she will only go around her when Bella is sleeping. The boy cat is standing his ground now and he plays with Bella sometimes, but Bella doesn't know when to stop. Thank goodness he is a good cat and won't bite her he puts up with so much from Bella |
lol pippa just loves animals. |
