Summer Haircuts & Help for hair loss My beautiful little boy Sam was adopted by us last September. At that time, he was 21 months old. He has a beautiful coat but since we got him, he has started scratching all the time. I have bought ALL kinds of shampoo to help and he is now on allergy meds. I took him to the vet who immediately did a skin scrape to determine if he had a form of mange but he tested negative. Anyway, since the scrape, the hair has not come back in that spot. Does anyone have any recommendations? In addition, I need pictures of a good summer haircut for my boy. I like it short on top and with his legs fluffy. Anyone got any great pics? Thanks |
My little one also is scratching out her hair. She has real thin and stringy hair. Just when I think it is going to grow she starts itching and then it gets even thinner. I'm thinking she will never have pretty fur. |
One of the other members recently had their male groomed in the manner you describe (short on top, fluffy legs), here's the link: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...60&postcount=1 |
Max has that haircut. Actually, the groomer said that since they don't have a second coat or even fur - their coat is hair - cutting it short doesn't really make a big difference in cooling them down. I did cut his beard off though and went back to a shorter cut because we're out a lot in the summer and he'll stay ckeaner. (Yeah, right!) |
