I am new here and I have sat here all day reading about Papi, Kassie and Patticake. Let us put it this way I have been sitting here trying to read thru my tears. What a wonderful, heartwarming story. I read Papi's post about losing Kassie and I just cried and cried. Then the wonderful thing that everyone here did to bring love and hope back into his life. In steps Patticake!!! I still can't stop crying. Such a beautiful story. And Papi I would just like to say that you certainly have a way with words. I felt like I was right there feeling everything you were feeling. I am so happy you and Patticake have each other.

I hadn't communicated in such a long time, back in May I purchased a very inexpensive video cam, when I say inexpensive, I mean for $69.00 but I had to someway show my friends Papi and Patticake were alive and well so Patticake and I came up with these two somewhat long video's of our morning walk and the area we trek through, it's not the best video, kind of pixelated, I never owned or used a cam befor and must humbly admit the video's aren't to bad.

You will need some spare time to view as there both about 10 minutes long, so kick back, relax and enjoy please.

My freinds who have just posted to this thread recently, may I thank you for all your wonderful thought's, I will be back to reply to you.

Thanks for sharing your morning walk with us. Patticake is such good girl and a cutie pie to boot. You guys really do make a great team. My favorite part was when Patticake sat on Kassie's rock.

Hi Papi and Patticakes, what a treat to watch the morning walk, such a good girl she is and such good medicine for your soul!!! When I saw the big ole trucks I thought of my JD and what a picture he woud have made, Papi, any loud noise makes him drop to the ground and not move till it's gone, plane, train, doesn't matter, this little joker is grounded!! ha.. thanks for sharing...

I have read your story and it is so heartwarming and wonderful! You are a truly special person and I can see just how much you love Patti Cake. :luvu:

As I was watching your video, Pebbles jumped onto my lap and was fixed on the computer as you walked and talked with Patti Cake. She has NEVER watched TV or the computer before. She just sat and watched the screen and her ears wiggled and she tilted her head as you spoke. :animal36 I sat in amazement watching her watching you and Patti Cake on your walk!

Oh, how absolutely WONDERFUL these two videos were to watch!!!! I cried happy tears through their entirety. I think about Patticake and Papi all the time. So, you can imagine my heart when Joan emailed me to tell me that this video was on YT. Thank you, Joan!!

Papi, Patticake acts SO MUCH like Deucy and looks just like him when she looks up at you for her treat after waiting patiently at the curb for the command. Absolutely PERFECT. Her little shining (sparkling) eyes looking up at you in the sunlight and the little squint she has is identical to Deucy's. When she stops to smell the flowers and plants, it is Deucy all over again. I started taking him outside to smell the flowers in bloom in my yard as a little puppy. He still does it every day there are flowers in bloom. I SO ENJOYED every minute of these videos. Thank you, thank you, thank you. This means so much to me...to see you and Patticake going through one of your routines together. Patticake has the good life with you Papi and yes, she is VERY smart. Somehow, someday, I wish we could have a meeting of Patticake, Baker, Deucy and Sadie Ann. What a reunion that would be!!!

This has prompted me to take video of Deucy and share on this thread so that others can see the unmistakable characteristics/traits that this family of puppies shares. I will ask Pauline to do the same with Baker and Laurie to do the same with Sadie Ann (their mama). What beautiful animals they all are.
