ok, when we got to the apartment complex, I couldnt find his # so I asked someone and a very nice elderly woman told me where he was ( 2nd floor is why i didnt see his # outside).. anyway she yelled up to him and he came to the window, not knowing who i was. I said papi dont even tell me you forgot me already lol he said o m g I said well you dont return calls or anything we at yt are all worried sick about you, he could not believe i came there to check on him. he said that many times during our visit. we went up and I said something like, someone had to come see if you were ok, you dont answer the phone or return any calls.no posts, .nothing...I told him we were all worried sick about him. he said he was ashamed and so sorry, I told him it was ok, dont feel bad about it, I'm just glad he is ok, I didnt know what I would find out when I got there, and I was scared till I saw him standing there :) I was releived!...I saw the pee pad and bed/toys on the floor and he said patticake isnt here :( he told us his daughter took her home lastnight and he was to pick her up around 7 ish..well he called her, and she brought patticake over...she is so adorable! but she was very skiddish about us being there. he said she isnt around people other than himself and his daughters. i did hold her, she is a doll baby for sure and is doing well. yes the plan was to get pictures and I did it again! didnt have the chip in my camera :( I almost cried! so papi took pics and I took some of him using his camera. i asked him if he could email me them till i got home, but something is wrong with his pc that he cant put the pics in the computer to email, so someday we might see them.... reason he wasnt returning calls is.. he said he was depressed after the surgery...they sent him home the very next day with no orders as to what or what not to be doing, he had bad pain, still has some sort of pain but not as bad. he looked good, and seemed like his normal self to me. he was makin fun of me cuz i left the camera chip at home, lol we stayed a few hours then headed home. I'm glad he is ok :) and patticake is beautiful :) |
What a relief to know Papi is ok. I was thinking the worst for a while since no one had been able to get in touch with him. I wish he would get on and post and maybe the YT people could lift his spirits and he would get to feeling better. Maybe he thought we all forgot about him or something.:( |
Im am so happy to here papi and patticake is fine. Thats such great news. I was getting so worried, I still dont understand why he could not return any of the calls Just one to let us all know he and patticake was fine. It would of saved me a few gray hairs. lol |
yes I agree but everyone deals with depression differently. I just called him to let him know we got home ok, and he said he will come on yt later tonight and post here, and Lori he also said he will call you.... I was thinking the worst too, so glad he is ok :) |
that is great news! I am so glad he is well and Patticake is doing so well, it sounds like she has a whole family to love her! d |
Elaine thank you for the call and the update on Papi and Patti Cake. You were so wonderful to drive all that way to check on them. (((((hugs)))))) to you and your Family. |
Elaine - That was so great of you to go check on Papi for the rest of us!!! Thanks so much for letting us know he's ok! Hopefully we'll get to see those pics someday soon! |
I just read most of this thread haha. Thank you so much Elaine for going to check on Papi! Good to hear that everything is OK. oh, yeah. My dad works in Roosevelt Park in Edison, and a couple weeks ago he ran into Papi there! He came home and told me and I couldn't believe it! |
So good to hear Papi is okay, and depression is difficult when you are feeling ill. Sounds like you need someone professional to talk with, Papi. Tell you a secret! I have had two cancer surgeries, treatment and recovery, however, the last one left me mentally weaker. Angry and sad, Papi. Finally, I told my doctor that I felt I needed to talk with someone. He scheduled an appointment with the chaplain (she is really a universal thinker) and helped me sort out my feelings. It might work for you, Papi. Warmly, Deborah |

I'm sorry guys. I had no idea that this was all happening at the time lol. Yes, PattiCake was with him! My dad actually has a picture of PattiCake on his phone! |
Papi, I am so relieved and thankful to hear that you are doing well! Big hugs to you! I'm sorry you are depressed and I know how hard that can be to deal with. I also can't help but wonder if being a part of YT has become too overwhelming to you because you simply cannot keep up with everyone's posts. I just want you to know, if that should be the case, that I would understand...I think we all would. Rather than thinking you have to answer each and every post, just come on now and then and tell us how you and Patti Cake are doing. Don't feel bad that you don't have the time to answer each post personally. We would all understand that. We all want you and Patti Cake to be happy beyond compare! Sending hugs! Kisses to Patti Cake! |
