Doggy Fears?? What is it YOUR baby is afraid of? Angel is pretty good and not scared of anything really, HOWEVER, prince, he's the baby. He's scared of balloons and grocery bags. SERIOUSLY! Last night I was trying to watch the Manchurian Candidate (sp) and he wouldnt shut up. Im like "what is it baby? You see a ghost?" He was FREAKING OUT! I start moving things around in the direction he's barking but nothing is stopping him (we're remodeling so there's crap everywhere). After about 10 minutes, I pick up this clifford (the big red dog) balloon (from my son's birthday). Once i have it in my hands, Prince rund SCREAMING like im chasing him with a knife lol. Naturally, I hid the balloon in my room. After that, the house was quiet as could be and I didn't hear a peep form him the rest of the night lol. What a scaredie cat! THis isn't the first time either. Anytime he sees balloons or grocery bags he FREAKS. Wonder what kinds stuff he was put through that made him afraid of these things.... |
lol..I'm sorry - but THAT'S funny ! I feel bad he freaked out...I really do... but afraid of a little ole balloon ? These little yorkies will tell off a rottweiler... yet be scared of a plastic ball of air ? too funny ! |
Oh my Simon is scared of a lot of things. Grocery bags, the trash bag, the vacuum, the broom, the mop, come to think of it he's afraid of all cleaning supplies hmmmm....the blow dryer, car horns, the water bottle, flashlights, the list goes on and on ;) Hallie is terrified of the fly swatter, I think she was probably hit with one by her previous owners! I quit using it becuase she would get so frightened. It was the saddest thing I have ever seen. |
LOL I know. He's thinks he's all tough, but waive something somewhat round that can fly and he's the biggest chicken EVER!!!!!!!!!! LMFAO |

The only thing Luig is really afraid of is our feather duster!!!!!! He will bark and bark at it while I am trying to dust the blinds!!!! He is sooo silly!!! He tries to attack the vacuum cleaner and the swifter!!!! Prince- I am soo sorry you are soo scared of those ballons and those bags!! But don't worry, they won't hurt you! Hawwie- I feel bad you are scared of fly swatters. Those won't hurt either!! I'm sad that your previous owners used them to hit you!! Those mean people. Its ok- you'll never have to be hurt again!! I wuv you!-Weegie |
Linus is absolutely fearless. He tries to attack the vacuum cleaner. Every once in a while thunder startles him, but that's only the times that it startles me too, so I don't blame him! |
Schatzie is afraid of ... an empty food bowl less than 20 toys on the floor not getting enough kisses or....attention Other than that, I swear she is fearless. She'd fly if she could!! And on a serious note she does scare me. In my opinion id like her to "respect fear" a little more and know her limits. |
Lexi is afraid of balloons too and thunder. Max is afraid of strangers & the vacumm cleaner. |
Kona has some really strange phobias: 1. She hates her reflection. It startles her and then she'll sit and bark at herself. 2. She won't walk across small bridges in the park. She'll start but once she sees that there's water underneath her, she freezes. 3. She absolutely hates any sort of grates in sidewalks or streets. She has to get as far away from them as possible in order to get around it. There's one sidewalk that we walk down a lot. It has a small brick wall on one side of it, and when the grates get close, she won't move unless she's all the way against the wall. 4. She doesn't like changes in flooring (unless she's in our home). For example, if we're walking in a different building or house, she refuses to cross from carpet to tile or vice versa while she's on a leash. Even if it's all hard flooring, if it's a different texture or color she freezes. She plants herself with her legs sticking out in front and won't move unless I drag her. She'll only walk across different floors if she does it slowly on her own. Then she's perfectly fine. We always joke that she needs a doggy psychologist for all of her strange fears! Besides these weird quirks, she's the happiest puppy on earth! staci |
Oscar isn't afraid of much, but after today's obedience class, he's not so sure about having big dogs behind him. One goosed him, and another barked and snapped at him from behind! We were working on the heel command, and poor little Oscar was just minding his own business and cruising along when it happened. For the most of the rest of the class he kept looking over his shoulder, but seemed to have recovered by the end of it. :) |
That is hilarious! Rocky is afraid of Coca~Cola! If we have a coke, we have to put it in a glass or it will be endless barking at the can! |
Sammi has one very odd phobia... She will run away if you stick your tounge out at her...It is so odd but true XoXoXoxo Fran and Sammi |
Cosmo is scared of the vacuum. I am not sure about anything else. He always attackes the plastic bags when I get back from walmart. He LOVES people too even if he does not know them. lol. He is scared of me clapping. |
Fred is scared of loud noises that pop outta nowhere! If he's laying there chewing on his toys gracefully and you clap your hands real loud, his ears will perk.. he'll look and start barking like he's saying "AYE, STOP THAT MOM. YOU'RE BEING ANNOYING!" |
Mine arent afraid of nothing. They bark when someone comes.. |

Gracie should have been a guy. She's got big kahunas!! She's not afraid of anything that in itself scares me! |
Hmmmm........Where shall I begin?? LOL Memphis is a big chicken. He is scared of plastic bags, balloons, Toby Keith how do you like me now song, my cell phone when it rings, birds at the bird feeder, the pic wheel thingy in my flower bed, his shadow, my shadow, the cieling fan, and laundry, yes laundry, he runs and hides when I start folding laundry. What a freak. |
 The only thing that causes Toto to "run for her life" is the Saran Press & Seal box!! We have no idea why unless it's because she was in the kitchen one day and whan I started to tear off a piece, the box flew out of my hand but didn't touch her!! She is fraidy cat about lots of things but she doesn't run from anything but that every time I take it from the drawer!! ;) |
The other night we were having a thunderstorm. Thunder and lightening got real bad at one point which woke me up. To my surprise, I woke up with Lily curled up in the tighest little ball on my sholder with her nose in my ear. She was so scared. Usually she sleeps on her little blankie at the foot of the bed. For her to be where she was cuddling like she was, I know she was scared. Poor baby! |
I was just thinking, isn't it funny how good their memories are on what they are scared of yet they keep forgetting where to go potty? lol |
My little Keeley boy isn't too scared of much. But he scared of being left on the other side of the little fence that closes off the kitchen. :p And he does get nervous of little things he hasn't seen yet. Like his new brush or a new toy. He will sit and bark at it for a few minutes and then when he gets up the courage to grab it, he forgets he was ever scared. :D He is so fuuny. I love his little scared bark, it is so cute! |
