It's play spencer & zoe do the same thing when they are playing together |
It's an "I'M SORRY !" ;) Two of my three Yorkies do this - one of them smiles real smiles on command (Casper the famous smiling Yorkie - see previous pics on smiling threads) - but the other, Tammy has a sorry smile, my third Tara doesn't smile unless she was snarling which is very rare - I also had a collie when I was a teenager who was SORRY all the time, and then had a Bearded Collie who was SORRY, (though our current Beardie Tasha doesn't, she just "sings") - and none of them was vicious, it was always if they had done something they might be sorry for - and the collies even answered to "ARE YOU SORRY !" with TEETH ! :animal-pa Debra, Scotland |
My pups show their teeth to each other all the time.... Especially the mom and daughter (Sophie and Isis).... They play for at least one hour each night, wrestling and tug of war.... they really seem to enjoy their play time. The dad sometimes joins in on the fun but normally he is too cool to play with the girls...hehehe |

When Chloe does that, I do it back to her...it's funny! |
3 Attachment(s) Biscuit and Willow play like this constantly. At first, I was always worried about Willow's safety since she is 2 pounds and Biscuit is 10, but he never hurts her. He knows how to be gentle enough for her, she on the other hand bites the heck out of him! |

LOL... My girls play like that too...:D It's very funny when they do the "bitey face" and make weird barks, moannings and growls...:p :D :D |
Chase and Halle play like that all the time until their little tongues are hanging out. They run into things, bump their heads, slide across the floor. There is no stopping the fun they are having with each other. At first I was nervous with the head bumping the walls or hardwood floor, but they never seem phased by it at all. Now I just let them have fun until they are all tuckered out. I love it. I keep saying I'm going to video it, but I haven't done it yet. It can be very entertaining.:D |
Does your yorkie show their teeth? I have a 12 yr. old yorkie, she has been showing her teeth since she was a baby. She is actually smiling. She does it to company. She gets very excited and always smiles. I have talked to other people, that say their yorkie smiles too. |

It looks vicious but it's all play in a Yorkie day! |
1 Attachment(s) Here's a picture of Jazzie playing with Jewel. (Jewel is the little mean looking one). |
Izzy and Luna show their teeth, and Luna growls and yips:laugh: I used to separate them at first, I thought they were trying to kill each other. But they'd cry until I put them back together, then they were right back at it again. Izzy could rip Luna's throat out if she so desired, she's twice her size, but she's never hurt Luna at all, in fact Luna is the agressor in most of their play, while Iz lays on her back and takes it:laugh: |

tobie and his sister Zoe do the exact same thing when they're playing. Its cute to watch. Zoe tries to "entice" Tobie with toys somtimes when he's laying down, bringing them just within his reach and then egging him on. Its all fun and play..... |
