I don't think NODAK is going to be reading your posts since he's been suspended! |
Need to post Quote:
Isn't that what you just did? Were you asked to assume a "leadership position" on this forum or critique the way it's run? You're way out of line for a newbie with such criticism. Good grief! |

Our moderators do an excellent job as you can see by the fact that Nodak has been suspended for breaking the rules. Hmmm, wounld't it be interesting to know if this "new member" shared an IP address with Nodak? Aside from that... Nodak it was a tough road with you but it sounds like you're on the right track. Good luck. |

He may be suspended but he's on right now. Nodak, please be careful or you'll be banned which I would actually hate to see happen as you are getting some good advice on here. |
Good Job!! I'm glad to see that you are taking some of the advice being offered. However I do agree with some of the other members about getting another puppy, as you are having trouble with Tanner now. I would definitely make all other changes and let Tanner get into a schedule. After he is a little older and doing better with the potty training and such, then if you still want to get little Tanner a playmate go for it. Good Luck with everything! |

if you have a problem with me, pm me... there's no need to argue in a thread. I'm sorry for causing a ruckus... I think that the admin do a good job here, I'm just wanted people to take a step back and evaluate things before they post... I will do the same from now on |

This is excellent! I think you are showing real improvement Nodak! You are saying 'him' instead of 'it' and you are doing things to make him comfortable and a joy of a pet, not a nuisance. This is the way I see it. If you find owning a pet a JOB or a CHORE... then you are not ready. I never view my dogs as making more work for me. (sometimes I think it silently but I wouldnt give up the extra work if it meant not having them) Your girlfriend must be sooooo excited that you have agreed to get tanner a cute little female friend to play with!! (make sure you get them fixed though! I dont think you want to handle babies at this point yet! haha) Good Luck! Keep us updated on his progress! |
:) I think you are taking steps in the right direction, but remember 2 pups are going to be 2 times the effort. |

I'm glad to see all the effort you're putting in for Tanner & Heidi. I'm sure you've noticed this forum is a bit different from others (much less testostirone) and we care deeply about the welfare of all the fur babies. You were trying to do the right thing with Tanner and came here for help. After reading all the threads, I feel there was a HUGE misunderstanding that got out of control. I think your attempts at humor may have been taken too seriously or misunderstood - but we do like to kid around too. I for one am 100% for wiping the slate clean and look forward to following your progress with Tanner. I think you and Heidi will be great Yorkie parents Corinne |
I think your plan is good. I will be the first to admit that I happen to think getting another yorkie as a playmate for Tanner is really a great idea! I still stand by what I have said before those, the cage has to go. Gate them in the kitchen for the hours that you are at work. You can use the cage for sleeping purposes. I have 2 - We got them at the same time and they are Frick and Frack. I love 2 and they love and occupy each other when I am away. They are home during the day while we work (Anywhere from 10 to 12 hrs - M thru F). They were kept in a small spare room, with a baby gate at the door. Inside the room they had their crate, beds, toys, dry food, water and the doggie litter boxes with wee wee pads, I also left a radio on for them. They were contained there until they were 1 year old. Now they have Free Run of the down stairs, but spend their days sleeping on the couch and looking out the window. When I am home, I feed them and then walk them and then play and watch TV and go to bed. They sleep with us. The weekends I am home cleaning, etc. but I spend all my free time with them. I think it is def. possible to have them with your work schedule, but you have to treat and train them properly for it to work. YT is a GREAT place, we are all here to help you learn the Yorkie World and soon enough you'll have enough experience to help others. |
