News on Angel! Angel was scheduled to go in and get "everything" done today, so I called to check on them. She had her rabies test, heartworm test, shots, dental cleaning, 2 teeth pulled, spay, ears cleaned out, nails trimmed.... is that all? I don't remember, but she had a LOT done! She is home and doing absolutely wonderful. She is laying down snoring. She is very much at home at her foster mom and dad's home, and she gets along with their other yorkies very well. But... her foster dad decided he didn't want to be her foster dad anymore. He wants to adopt her and keep her. He loves her and is very attached. They want to keep her and give her the high life - you know: eating, sleeping, peeing, and petting. I have to admit, I got tears in my eyes when she told me... I am so very happy to hear all the good news. She may or may not come on Saturday with her other 2 yorkies, some of it depending on how Angel's doing and whether they feel comfortable leaving her that long. Also, I told her that I *have* to come see Angel soon... so someday soon - maybe in July LOL But I'm very relieved that she's had all the work done and is now a HEALTHY dog and even better that she's got a forever home and a real mom and dad! :D |
:woof: :woof: :woof: I am sooooo happy for Angel. They seemed to "fit" so perfectly together in the picture you posted of them when they picked her up. :yay_jump: :yay_jump: |

That is wonderful :) They are wonderful people~ |
So happy for angel and her new forever family |
That is the best news! If I remember correctly, you rescued her. Such a happy ending and thank you for giving her a second chance. |
OH THAT IS WONDERFUL! I gasped so loud when I read this that Ozzie, who is curled up beside me on the sofa, jerked awake to check on me. I really hoped this would happen. They looked like such a happy family in the picture you originally shared. Thanks for letting us know -- and more importantly thank you for giving this little girl such a great chance at happiness. :) :) :) |
What a happy ending. GREAT JOB  |
That's wonderful news! I'm so glad that Angel found a loving forever home!:) |
Happy to hear Angel is loving her new home...and that they have decided to make it her forever home...Bless you...Bless them...and most of all Bless Angel. |
That's awesome news in a world of sad news - I'm so glad she's doing so well and lol on the snoring - that means she is totally relaxed and good for her. |
this is GREAT news! thanks for the update!!!! if you get any pictures...please share :) |
I can't even begin to express the extreme amount of joy that I've been feeling about Angel. I've been so sad for her and her past life, and I just can't believe how her life has turned around and what a great dog she is turning out to be. Her vet said she is one of the most abused dogs she's seen - not that she was beat up, but that she was just never taken care of and that she must have ALWAYS been pregnant. I really wish I could save all of them in that place. Angel's new Daddy is a lawyer though, and they want to know where I got her from. He is not happy at all about the life she's led. I'm so glad there's people like them around who are upset about her past life and then do everything they can to make sure she leads the best life possible from now on. I'm just in awe of these wonderful people, and I thank God for giving Angel her second chance. I really honestly think she will be so much happier and better off with her new family even than she could be with me (because of my daughter). |

well for one thing you should be so very very proud of yourself for saving this darling little girl.......there is so much tragedy as you very well know......and you saved an innocent defenseless victim.....the rest of your life should be filled with only blessings......you most certainly deserve them.......WAY TO GO ANGEL!!! for winning over her new daddy's heart..... |
I called back tonight just to check in again - you know after a rough day like yesterday, I figured I'd better check back. They told me some very sad news... Angel's Daddy was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He needs lots of prayers. Angel's Mom said that Angel is very good with him and lays in his lap and licks his hand to comfort him. But she knows rough life more than any of us, and I know she'll help him through it. I can imagine what all they're going through - and perhaps this is why they decided to keep Angel. I know when I had my own cancer issues, it was not a happy time. And I have loved many people who have passed on from cancer - some even prostate cancer, so I am very sad. I know it's not necessarily a death sentence - I'm still alive, and my grandfather lived 14 years with prostate cancer. Still, I wish I could take away his upcoming battles. But at least he's got a new little friend who can help see him through and comfort him in his hard times. It's the least she can do for what he's doing for her. On a happy note, Angel's still doing wonderful. She is eating and drinking and acting like nothing ever happened. :) |
Prostate cancer is the most curable cancer....so hopefully that is a good thing.......hopefully with everyone's hopes and prayers he will do just fine......... |
I will be saying a prayer for Angels daddy, that with treatment he will be cured...I am glad they have each other, to help each other thru all the days of their lives together. |
It's such good news that Angel has found a great home, but so sad about her new Daddy. Prayers are going out for all of you, |
Sending warm and healing thoughts through the ethers to Angel's Daddy. Thank you for the update and as a survivor twice, modern medicine is incredible to extend living. |
Thank you all for your good wishes. It really means a lot to me, and I will be sure to pass the well wishes on to them next time we speak. |
Wonderful News. So glad when the endings are happy. |
Angel's daddy will be in my prayers. I'm sure Angel will live up to her name for her dady. |
Praying for angels daddy, and so glad to hear she has such a great forever home. She sure does deserve it.:D |
