Coat colour Hi All. I have a question on coat colour I was hoping someone could help me with. I was told that if you part your puppies fur and look at its skin it will determine the colour of their coat. eg: black skin, black coat. Blue skin silver coat. Does anyone know if this is true. Thanks |
I've not heard of that before, but will be interesting to see what others say. |
never heard of that and all the yorkies i have seen (all colors) have white skin |
Skin Bella's skin is cow marked bid patches of Black and mostly white. Her gums are black (brown) but roof of mouth is pink. Diggy is all white with black skin around his ding sding and his jewels and he has the black cow markson the roof of his mouth.:p |
I was a little curious of this too...I have a yorkie pup whose skin to me has a blue tinge.... |
I've never heard of that before. |
When gracie was a pup i could see a blue tint on her skin and her hair is still black with a little gray and she is 1 yr 3 months |
Thanks I was asking the lady who breed tilly about when she thought Tillies fur would start to change colour, as only her head has shown any sign of changing. She asked me to part her fur on her back and tell her the colour of her skin, which has a blue tinge and apparently this means she will turn silver. I had never heard this before? Tillies dad was dark and her mum is silver. |
