Reece never had his tail docked as a puppy and I LOVE his tail...dont get me wrong..I LOVE docked tails tooooooo!! I know there are lots of members from countries that have banned docking tails so we must have lots of members here with yorkie tails!!! Please post your favorite tail pictures!!

Reece is gorgeous in soooo many ways! I love, love, love his coloring and that cute little face, and his tail is beautiful!

My babies all have their tails docked. Plus I dock the tail on all the litters I whelp. I only do it because....1. AKC standards say so (who knows why?) ... 2. I was told that they have really fragile tails, if you leave them long.

I hate haveing my puppies tails docked, I feel like the meanest person ever! They don't numb their tails or anything!

I think that they look good with their tails undocked! I've only seen your yorkies undocked, but I love the way it looks!

I'm not really a fan of the long tail..I think it looks better docked. All of yours so far have nice looking tails, but most yorkies that I have seen with tails are real scraggly looking (but I havent seen that many so it might have just been the few I've seen). I do hate when their tails are docked too short though to where they look like they don't have a tail at all. My parent's yorkie's tail was docked too short.

Lol, I'm the opposite of you. I know its not standard, but I kind of wish Wobie's tail was docked really short. I think its because I'm used to all of my Australian Shepherds, and their nonexistant tails. :rolleyes:

Docked tails here, but I think that the non docked look is ADORABLE. Bentley my yorkie poo, has a long full tail that I just adore.

Awww thanks!! The other day someone was petting my Reece and when they saw his tail they litterally scrunched up their nose and said WHY didnt they dock his tail...ewwww...I almost punch her out LOL...docked tails are wonderful but geez...I am happy to hear you say such wonderful things about my boy..THANKS!!

Docked tails here, altho Remy's is almost twice as long as Roxy's and he is only 4 mos. old. Personally, I think having a tail to chase is one of a dog's greatest assets and best games:) . I'm all for tails. Besides, it gives us something to grab onto if they get loose when they aren't supposed to:p .

Your Yorkies look amazing! Gizmo's tail is docked, but I often wonder what it would be like if it weren't. How cute!

I've tied a ribbon onto Chloe's tail before. She'll chase that! LOL...tail extensions!

This is the case for me. The few Yorkies I've seen with full tails had scraggly hair and just looked messy and unfinished. But your babies (Sweetr and YorkieMom) looks AWESOME. Their tail hair is nice and poofy, not flat and dull like on the Yorkies I've seen. Maybe it's not the tail ... maybe it's the way the owner takes care of the hair there.

I believe the good looking tails do require some work because my boy Codie (he's a Maltese) has a long tail that curls like a little piggy over his butt ... it's so adorable. :D And I have to keep the hair combed and well groomed, not use too much conditioner on the tail and I blow it dry with a round brush to get it looking full and poofy. It also is layered lolol Hubby says I'm nuts but I love having his tail look perfect! :D
