Tink took her first walk in her sling tonight.
Tink and I had a walk tonight. A LONG walk! I got us started going around the outer drive of the complex and there was no way to get back to the side drive. Sooo, we had to go all the way around. It took me an hour and a half. :eek: Wish would have turned around and just gone back when I realized what was happening, but I thought I could make it. A way, way much longer walk than I thought it was. :(
We did meet several people on our little jaunt. I was glad I had taken Tink's water bottle 'cause she needed it. It was still in the upper 80s. When she got tired, I put her up on the seat and she just laid there while I pushed the walker. It was kind of cool. We got lots of comments and people chuckling at us. One man brought out his two Yorkies to play with Tink for awhile. I had to call a halt to that though because Tink just got crazy wanting to play and I was afraid she was going to hurt herself. ;) We'll go back again so they can play together again. Two little bitty ones. Thomas who is 4 lbs and Bettina who is 3 lbs.:) I have yet to meet the Yorkies and their mom who live in the building behind me. They are little red guys and look to be about 5-6 lbs.
So, we're home and Tink is fine cause I was VERY careful with her and she even got a little nap in on the walk back. :rolleyes: The sling needs a little work, so the machine is coming out to make some modifications and we'll try a SHORTER walk tomorrow evening. We'll do a tiny walk in the morning, just down to the mailbox at the end of the sidwalk.:D |
