Leaving Bella for the day I got a new job...wooo hooo!! I have been searching for months. However I need to leave Bella for 8 HOURS!! This is torture to me...but I need to make money. I come home on my lunch which is 4 hours into my shift; but I feel bad doing that because she seems so sad when I leave. So I was wondering if anyone else came home for lunches...or what you gave your baby to keep busy. She seems so sad when I leave the house now...I am so upset but I need to work. |
I come home for lunch and feed the pups a snack, play with them to tire them out and then back to work. I always give them a treat when I put them back in their x-pen so they're occupied when I walk out the door. They cried a couple times at first but now it's part of their routine. I do leave toys for them in their pen but when I get home I can tell they've been sleeping most of the time:) |
Awww dont worry i know it's going to be hard believe me i am gone for that amount of time as well. I work in manhattan and live in queens which is like a 45 min ride. But if i go home by the time i get there and come back i would be in trouble by my boss lol. So dont worry she will be fine it will take her some adjusting to do but she will be ok. Rocky barks when i leave so i leave him a spoon of yogurt and while he's eating it i walk out the door and he dosent notice. I do leave the radio on for him too |
I go home for lunch on the days the monkeys don't go to daycare. They stay in my bedroom during the day with the tv on and honestly, they sleep the whole time. At lunch I take them for a little walk, they eat a snack, then I give them a yogurt drop before I leave. She will be just fine, just be prepared for lots of playing when you get home :) |
I've been going home to Maxwell (6 months on Friday) every day. He graduated from the cozy crate he sleeps in at night to spending days in the smallest room in our house. I have a 12 minute drive one way, so I spend time with him, give him a treat, and back into the room he goes. He gets up on the cushion for him at the window, and what a cute face I see looking out the window. I always wave. He seems to "get" it. Seems to be be working fine. He's a happy soul. Errands at lunch are out, but I work that out on my way home since my husband gets home before I do to let him out. If you are alone, I'm sure it will be fine - they adapt to your life. Always happy to see you. |
I work 9 hrs per day and drive home everyday to let my babies out to potty :) And give them hugs, treats, and kisses :p I get an hour lunch and its 20 minutes home and 20 minutes back. I fly!!!! But its so worth it to see them. They sleep most of the time anyways and I wake them up when I get home and they go right back to sleep when I leave. I love seeing them, makes a bad day much better when your having one! |
Embrace the "Power of the Kong!" That's the bribe I give Archie when I leave him in his pen -- kind of a pacifier. I fill it with his favorite yummies and give it to hime right before I'm about to leave. He's so pre-occupied with his treat he doesn't notice I'm out the door! |
