Heres Miss Bella...she too has floppy ears I was getting concerned because everyones yorkie seems to have ears that stand. But I think her floppy ears are cute.

Here is Tinka with her floppies... I tried all the taping and everything for a long time... nothing worked. I'm wondering if there is a correlation between larger Yorkies and floppy ears?

I don't know - maybe - but my girl is 4.4 lbs....and all floppy :)

Yes, Sophie is our resident beauty around here. She's quite the fashion model, too.:D

We chose not to trim Tank's ears. We love them floppy.

Nope -- although it's a theory I've heard many times. Ozzie is 14 pounds and he had ears up/ears down then 1 ear up and 1 ear down as a baby. After that, up on their own ever since.

1) Ozzie at 11 weeks (first picture when we brought him home)
2) Ozzie at 16 weeks with his then vet
3) Ozzie at 1 year
4) Ozzie last week (with two weeks 'til his 10th birthday)

Here's Jersey. She hasnt decided yet if she wants floopy ears or standing ears...i love them floppy. She's 6 months old on 6/21 :p

lola is almost 4 months and her ears go up then fall down.... i love that there down! i think they look adorable either way!

Here is Teddy...his ears never went up..I think there is a correlation somehow cause he is 9 lbs.

I think yorkie's that have floppy ears are ADORABLE! My Tobi's ears don't look like they're going to stand on their own..and I'm 100% fine with that!

Dayzee my teapot yorkie has floppy ears; she wouldn't be the same girl if her ears were up....

Electrical tape? That would hurt being removed. If you want them to stand up, cardboard (strip) over the ears and tape around them. Sophie was 16 weeks when I got her from the breeder, and her ears always stood up. However, I had beautiful purebred minature schnauzer who had floop y ears. She was so cute and I didn't want them cut.

Your pup is darling either way.

Here is a picture of Hunter. He just turned 10 weeks old. If his ears stay floppy or stand up doesn't matter to me. He will be adorable either way. :aimeeyork

I know I am a little late with this but wanted to add a picture of Cody. We think he is almost 2 and has completely floppy ears - we got him as a rescue and at first I really thought he might be a mix because I had always thought of Yorkies as tiny little things with perky stand up ears. And here he was - almost 12 pounds and these little floppy ears - that he only perks up when he wants to, but our vet says he is all Yorkie - we do love his ears and he puts them up sometimes. As if to say: What the heck??

Oh yeah he's all Yorkie. He looks like Loki if I let his hair grow out. He's cute!!!
