Does your yorkie help w/ chores? I have two chores that Trace thinks I need help doing. One is sweeping which means puppy belly cleaning the floor, I've read others help sweep too. The other is gardening. I have a large yard with extensive flowers and I'm always deadheading old blooms or pulling weeds. Trace is very persistant in helping deadhead flowers and his usual method involves standing in the middle of the plant, unfortunately he's just as apt to bite off a blooming flower as a dead one  I get a kick outta seeing a flower tucked in the side of his mouth, so I can't get angry with him.....he is just helping momma afterall :) |
Yes! Annie helps me with emptying out the toybox! I will put all the toys in!!!! And she will take them all out.... IN A MATTER OF SECONDS!!!! :D |
Bronx loves to help his dad gardening. They are growing a vegetable garden. The other day, Bronx ran in with a potato and set it in his toy pile. |
Yes, mine really like to help with the laundry. They like to get the warm clothes out of the dryer and run around with them. They love to play tug-a-war with my bras. They also love to help in the garden eating anything that blooms. |
Riley likes to help dust the living room furniture. Well, he really doesn't help, its more like preventing me from getting it done. When I wipe the tables down, he tries to grab the rag and make a run for it. He even jumps on the tables to get the rag but he usually just slides across. LOL! What a great little helper, not! LOL :D |
You all have the sweetest little helpers. |
How cute! Schatzie helps out by guarding me from the big bad vacuum and attacks it...And she loves to smell the "fake" flowers i have on the deck when Im cleaning them off. :D Trace sounds like a huge help to you, hahahaha! Imagine what he could do with a dishrag? LOL |
1 Attachment(s) Hefner definitely likes to help "empty the trash"! He loves his TRASH TREASURES! |

Pleeeeeeeeze!! The "Prissy Princess" just watches at a distance!!!! ;) Until I start to vaccum ... what great fun, she thinks we are playing! If I touch one of her toys with it, she runs up and grabs it out of the way!! Now, if I could just get her to drop it in her toy box! |
chores Starsky like to help me pull weeds. I pull them and then he takes off with them. I end up with weeds pulled through out my yard! Some time the weed can be bigger than he is! And like everybody else he loves the laundry, clean or dirty! What's up with Yorkies liking laundry! As far as I am concerned they can have it! I hate doing laundry!!! :thumbdown   |
I dont know about helping. Mines liek to UNCLEAN my house. My yorkie likes to scatter my laundry or put her food on the couch. I sew for a living an honestly I can be a little messy(You'd die if you saw my sewing room). Well chloe likes to grab scraps of fabric or feather boas and take off into the rest of the house with them. Its her favorite thing to do. I try to get on to her but she looks so darn cute so i ended up picking her up and kissing her. So she thinks I am encouraging it. |
Mine dont help with chores but they love to watch me! They follow me from room to room for hours, till all the chores are done ;) |
Lexi likes to help me in the flower beds, she digs lots of holes. Now I just need more plants  |
Maddie loves it when I have a basket of clothes fresh out of the dryer. She will jump in and make herself a bed. She's a lot of help with gardening. haha...makes more work for me than I already have. If I'm down on my hands and knees working in the yard, she will climb up my back and then reach around my neck to give me kisses. I love it when she does that! She's no help with vacuuming...she's still scared to death of that mean old monster vacuum! LOL |
   HELP!! What am I supposed to do 'cos I have TWO that "help" me with all the things you just all mentioned!!! Gardening in particular I have had to give up!! :) :) :) But would I be without this "help"?! NO WAY!!! Ana xxx |

Gazou is helping me with the laundry , always there to empty the basket . |
:D Those are very cute stories Turtle, keeping with the Yorkie tradition, helps me with the laundry too. He is especially helpful when I accidently drop clothes behind the dryer. He also picks up food I accidently drop when I am cooking. He just likes to keep the place tidy. |
Herding pets and the husband. Yes Mya's chore is to jump on my husband's head and lick his face when he won't wake up and get out of bed for me. She is very good at it and Hubby ends up being in a good mood. She does not do this until I tell her to wake up Daddy and get him up. :bravo: We have also discovered that Mya will herd the cat and our other dog. If I call the cat Emily and our dog Comic and they do not move fast enough Mya will circle and push them until they come to me. She would be good at herding sheep I think. |
Asia likes to help take the backup disc out of the computer at work. I have to grab them as soon as they pop out or she will have them. She also helps the cleaning lady mop the floor. She jumps on the mop and rides it back and forth to make sure it stays on the floor |
Mine actually INVENT chores for me - but I wouldn't change a thing...They are the BEST at being right there for anything I do....but I usually take 3 times longer doing it with my 2 helpers |
