I've realised its not just yorkies that are addictive its yorkie talk aswell!!
My 12 yr old daughter, jade, loves to sit and read some of the posts on here about other peoples Yorkies and while i went for a bath asked if she could post something.... so i said yeahhhh ok...
I come back to the computer hour later and ive now become a yorkie yakker!!! she's made about 25 posts!!!!! lol and is busy telling me all the stuff she's learned about yorkies!

Yes Yorkie talk is addictive. It is great that your daughter loves it. I think we have a few younger girls on here too in her age range. I have 2 sons that are 8 and 11 and they love to learn new things about the dogs that we have. When we used to have our rottie my older son read every book that he could just so he could know more about the dog. Now he thinks that he is an expert. LOL

Buddy: what part of England are you from?? My grandpa was born and raised in Liverpool. I travel there quite often because I have family there.

oh Turtle's Mom you will soon realize that our yorkies do talk to each other and use the net! And lots of them are "dating"! haha I'm totally addicted! That is so funny that your doaughter made 25 posts!

I am a total addict. I use to take my brake at 2:00 PM everyday and read the newer posts. It got to the point that my officemate knows my schedule! lol... Of course they also always ask what is new in Yorkie Talk. :)

Hey, I'm one of those younger girls! LOL I'm 14 and just graduated from 8th grade last Friday! Anyways, I am sooo addicted to this site. I ddin't realize it until my internet went down for like 4 days and I felt deprived of everything going on here. I wasn't updated on all the news so now I am going through everything and catching up! LOL!

yea, i threw up another post on my thread with some info but yes i went to to whatever you want to call it today and told them im passing on the pup. i felt sorry for the pup... i didnt see her in 9 days and she was wondering it looked like - why arent they taking me out giving me a fresh cut and giving me to you :( and the people from the store were shocked. So that pup is history hope she finds a nice home its prolly sold already. So i am looking now for a small female yorkie.



your friend might be in to far i could only see the internet sale of a pup require the full amount. Good Luck im sure shell take good care and its very healthy..

im sure it was the right thing to do... and the craziest thing is it was VERY VERY hard.harder than i expected.. i feel 50/50 as if i did the right thing and wrong. So if i actually made my own screen name i would say im im my prestages of addiction.. :D

Very happy that you made the choice. I am sure that you would have loved that pup, but pups in pet stores more times then not have serious health problems. Its better to pass on this pup then to have your girl heart broken in the long run because something happened to that one.

Reconsmomma - we are in Essex, so quite a way from Liverpool, tho my fiance is mad mad liverpool footy fan so the noise when they just won the european cup was deafening!! lol

Ive got my doubts who this pup is gonna be for Jack! lol
Why do all men get turned to mush by a yorkie lol :p

Hey, anyone every suffer from withdrawals here? During the week I pretty much have the computer to myself, when the weekend comes I start sweating it because I wonder when I'm going to get to check up on things! It's the next best things to actually having a real yorkie! I even think about people and puppies on here when I'm not online and sometimes have to connect just to post a thread because I thought of something to say. Hubby's great about it though, he often asks about how things are going with a certain dog or person. I love this place!

I suffer from a different kind of withdrawal - I think it would be soooo nice to have real life friends with Yorkies - if only I lived in the states and could visit some of you and meet your yorkies. Where I live people are mostly into hunting dogs or westies...I miss having someone to talk to in my everyday about Yorkies and it would be so neat to watch the dogs play and have fun :)
Luckily I have my husband and we yorkieyap a lot :)

As I said before, I had to live with YorkieTalk because my internet was down for 4 days! I definitely suffered from withdrawal. I felt like I was missing out on everything going on here. What's really sad is that when I went on a vacation to Florida in April, I checked YT everyday to see what was going on! LOL! That's what I call addicted! :D

I am totally addicted! Whenever someone calls or is looking for me, my little ones say" Mom is on the computer!!" I am fighting my kids for airtime!!
It is the best place to see other yorkies, monitor the progress of your own (if you have pups, I need so much advice!) I now sit here instead of doing other things...like cook and clean...[lucky I'm good in bed or he would throw me out!! LOL]

No worries jAcKr32 you'll catch up really quick! When I first bumbed into this site it was about Oct. 2004 and I didn't register till April 2005 :D LOL!!! I guess I was too shy and didn't think I have anything to post. Everyone's just too great here! I LOVE YT!!!!!

Me too! I started just reading threads about March and waited until May to join. People seemed so nice - and they are :grin2: . I'm lucky, my hubby is so happy I found YT, gives me something to do besides crosswords and reading, and he likes me to tell him about things happening here. Guess it beats hearing about housework and talking to mom! I was on here at 5 AM because I couldn't sleep! :eek:

I'm the same way!! I am on here all week (at work - teehee!!), but on the weekends I don't really spend much time on the computer. And it stinks too, because it seems like I miss all the good stuff on the weekends!! LOL
