HELP!!! chewing up carpet!!
 
:thumbdown SO lately bandit has decided chewing the carpet between my room an the bathroom is much more fun than his toy. I came home to carpet bits everywhere the last 2 days.
Any ideas on how to stop this?? Mom is not to happy about it.

sounds like seperation anxiety.

My male does this where my crawl space is in my closet. I know mine does it for the hell of it cause I am right there! I just food a throw rug, actually a old bath rug and throw it over his "chew spot" and this has helped to stop it. If he continues try to put powdered pepper or hot sauce on the spot where he is chewing! (this has always worked when mine tried to chew the furniture!)

Those sound like good suggestions. I was going to suggest Green Apple spray on the carpet. Good luck.

Oh I never thought of that! That would probably work! I will have to try it next time we have a chewing issue in my home, smells much better that powdered pepper or hot sauce! Oh and hows the weather there? I was born in alaska and haven't been there since I was two! Would really love to go back and get to know the place where I was born!

Today was one of our warmest of the summer here in Anchorage, a whopping 67 degrees! It was wonderful. Wish I had a pool!

Funny, I was born in California, and I lived there until I was in my 20s. I always tell people that they have to visit Alaska at least once in their lives. People either love it or hate it, but you don't want to miss seeing it. I'll bet you don't remember too much as a 2-year-old!

I don't remeber a thing from there! I wish I did! People always look at my crazy when I tell them I was born there! I do have tons of pictures though! My birth certificate and photos prove I was there even if I don't remeber. :( Bet your Yorkies love it there! All kinds of trouble to find! Do there ever get lost in the snow? I can just see them trying to hop through the deep drifts! :D

Yes, my guys are quite the snow adventurers. It's always a struggle getting them used to it each winter, but they do accept it as a way of life, and I've found ways to make it comfortable and safe. Here's a couple pics of my boys in our snow. The second one is sort of how you said you were imagining it!

Those pictures of your babies in the snow are too cute! I just love their little faces! Plus they are very well outfitted!;)

Bitter Apple Spray will definitely work. Your dog won't want to get his mouth anywhere near that carpet!
