when miko is good...she's perfect! and she's good most of the time. my husband and i are home bodies and she is too, so she's happiest when we're home. my short list of things we're working to change... ----her panic attacks in the car!!! she's going to give herself a heart attack. we're working on it with her trainer though and we haven't lost hope that we won't always have to drug her to take her places. ----she needs to stop chasing the cat!! poor kitty is about 10 years old (still has a ton of spunk though, she acts like a kitten half the time) and has had the run of the house for 8 years until miko came along. now our cat (pyra) can't sleep with us because miko chases her out of the bedroom :( -----food aggression  -----separation anxiety :thumbdown seriously though, she's so perfect in so many ways. she's crazy smart, wildly affectionate (never seen a dog so sweet) and she's inquisitive. we still can't get over how cute she is when she tilts her head when we talk to her or how funny she looks when she's really excited and shakes her tail so hard that her whole back end wags with it! she's beautiful. we love her so but are working to resolve her issues so that we're an even happier family. i've never loved a pet as much as i love her. she's like our child. we'll have to keep trying to raise her better :animal36 |
Grudge Pooping!!! Zoey always goes on her pad when I am home. If I leave her alone...she poops on the floor behind a table. We call it "grudge pooping." It's like she is punnishing us for leaving her alone!:animal36 |
Hmmmmm...trying to think of something...I guess it would be his lack of social skills. I know this was our fault, not his...but it's the only thing I can think of. He's an only dog and loves us to death, but he's really shy around other people or animals...He doesn't bite or growl...he just avoids them...Really he'll walk completely around others, maybe he's just a stuck-up snob??? |
I wish Autumn would stop trying to run out the front door after me. It makes me crazy!:( |
Seth, to come when I call him Sasha, I was the sunrise in her life, Jack is her sunrise and sunset. |
Ya know, I honestly can't think of anything that I'd like for Jake to stop doing. He's really well behaved and listens to us, he has never chewed or destroyed anything in the house, he doesn't bark unless he hears a noise or someone comes to the door, but he doesn't go on and on. He was easy to potty train, and he hasn't had an accident in ages. He doesn't bite, and he's very smart. He's just really good and very sweet. I'm so lucky!!! I guess the only thing I can think of is that I wish he wouldn't look so sad when I leave for work in the eve. |

Marking and going poo under the table. GRRRRRR other than that all is great. well wish Daisy was a little more friendly to new people and not snapy with other dogs. |
Otis is a runner, so when he knows I'm going out the door he frieks. Advice to others with this problem. I keep a broom by the door and that keeps him back so I can get out. The weird thing is, when I leave for work in the a.m. he doesn't do it. I guess he thinks work is an acceptable departure because it means I can buy his food. I wish I didn't have to be so paranoid about open gates, doors, etc. He'll take off. Oliver - poop eater. I also hate that he "paws" at me and Otis. I'm afraid he's gonna scratch Otis's eye. He usually has a toy in his mouth so this is his way of getting someone's attention. If he's gentle, it's cute, but sometimes he gets a little over zealous. and they both mark sometimes. |
Wesley: Barking at anyone who walks by the window. Getting anxiety on car rides. Maddie: Barking at anyone who walks by the window. And barking in the middle of the night, waking us from a dead sleep. |
I have to put a gate in the hallway when we go to bed so they can't get out to the front room at night or they would bark in the middle of the night too. they can get to the potty pad room and that's it. No midnight kitty stalking. |
i wish Gracie would not try to get out the door when we walk out |
Teddy: Quit barking out the front window, jumping on Daisy so she can't run Daisy: Trying to escape, begging and begging and begging for treats |
Maddie - She talks a lot. Like growl-talks. and it's adorable. But sometimes she does it at times where I don't really want to hear it haha. So I want her to keep talking, but I want her to stop talking as much as she does. Tucker - peeing in the house. ugh. Rusty - Rusty is a perfect angel. :p Just kidding. The only thing he does that really irritates me is he barks at everything. He barks at leaves that are blowing 5 blocks away. and he has a really mean sounding bark, so it scares people. So yeah. He would be perfect if he stopped barking. |
