I just wanted to say hi and that I love this place! This is very informative! I have yet to get my lil guy,so I am researching every thing I can about what to expect. I have seen allot of things that have been helpful. Is their a post for diseases that you should be aware of?

My mom has two girls and boy was I jealous when she got her first one 3 years ago! I had been wanting to get a Yorkie for as long as I can remember but we rented and were not allowed to have pets. My husband and I were able to get our house 9 months ago and have been fixing up our home. He also just switched jobs so I talked to him about getting a boy Yorkie that I could breed with my mothers girls. I wanted mine to have champion blood so I knew I would be paying more. My mothers girls are also champion bloodline. He gave me the OK to look for a breeder.

my mother kept in contact with the breeders of her dogs and her breeder she got # 2 from told my mother that I should call her because she would work with us to make sure my boy wouldn't be related to mom lil Sindy. I thought that was nice that she was willing to work with me! I even get to choose between two pairs each for the parent of my guy! I got to look at the pedigree and everything to help make the decision. All her dogs are beautiful so it was hard to choose! I can just imagine when I get the call to come pick out my lil guy the trouble I will have. I will want to get all of them,LOL!

Now I get to sit back and wait till fall when they will be ready to breed and then I will get to bring my guy home sometime in December! In the mean time I am getting things ready for my boy! My mom has gotten him a bunch of things that he will need the only thing left is getting a crate and him!

Hello and welcome to YT! It must be so exciting for you as it was for me to wait for your puppy! It took me many months of research and pinning and waiting, and finally I found the perfect puppy for me!
In the meantime, enjoy posting and reading all posts that interest you here... and perhaps like me, you will grow to love the breed all the more and appreciate why you and i and everyone here just go crazy over their furbabies!!!:)

:welcome4: to YorkieTalk ! I too am recently a new member with a 14 week old fur baby and this place has answered so many questions for me. The members are wonderful, they are always willing to help and give support in any way possible. You will probably find it very addictive here as I have, not being able to go a day without logging in and catching up on the news of everyones babies :p
