Hair Cut I am taking my puppy for her first haircut and i don't know what kind of hair cut to get for her? Do i tell them to give her a puppy cut? |
" Hi " :wave4: If you want your Yorkie to have a shorter cut for the summer and trimmed around their eyes, that's what I always ask for. :) :aimeeyork |
Keep in mind that if you want your puppys hair to grow long....I always ask for "face, feet and tail" however, I do not like them to trim the eye area! If you do it once, they say you have to keep doing it! I want that hair to grow long like the rest. Thats it...;) A puppy cut is cute if you like that fluffy puppy look too ;) |
i would go with the puppy cut, thats what bella has and i love it. plus when its really hot out she gets soooo hot, so i couldnt imagine if her hair was long!! plus i think it is sooo cute!! |
I tell them puppy cut, but also bring pictures. Search the site, and look at the different puppy cuts, they can vary. Then print out the ones you like. I just have a black n white picture that I found on here that I love. I take it everytime; although they have the picture in Rhapsody and Tiger's files now, lol. :) Good luck!! |
If were you live is really hot then I would go short (I live in Fresno Ca, its like the armpit of the world out here) If the weather is mild go with the puppy cut.:animal-pa |
Some people have horror stories about going to the groomer, so I'd say: come with pictures of what you want; body pictures, and close ups of the face AND come with a detailed list of what you want cut, where, and how long, and what you want them to leave alone. Good luck! |
When I take Mackenzie to the groomer I also bring a picture that I found on here that I think is adorable, it is a puppy cut, but I also give them specific instructions like...leave the top long enough for a top knot, don't cut around her eyes, and leave the tail long ;) |
