Rebel's having his "shark" teeth removed today I'm about to leave the house to take Rebel to the vet to remove his baby teeth and then go to work. I hate leaving him!! Once he realizes we're going to the vet, he's going to start crying. He's not afraid of the vet, he's lick him all over, but he knows if I put him in the tech's arms I'm going to leave. Please say a little prayer for him today. I'll be picking him up when I get off work and I know he'll be fine - but I'll be a nervous wreck until I have him back home. |
Prayers going out from Utah! I know how difficult it is to leave your baby but he'll be back in your arms soon:) |
prayers being sent your way... |
Lots of prayers coming your way, my baby has shark teeth as well! That's why i've nicknamed him "Shark Bite" haha. Good luck! |
Prayers for Rebel . |
I'm sure he will be fine, sending prayers anyway. Both my girls had to have their canines removed. Misha's must have had an inch root on them. I asked the vet to keep them, he put them in a jar for me. Next morning the tooth fairy came with a great treat. |
Hes in my prayers |
Sending a prayer for Rebel. I know he'll do fine. |
How many teeth is he getting removed? Did he get 2 full sets? Teddi is 8 months and she is getting a second set but so far only the top front teeth from what I can tell. I am just wondering if she will get a whole full second set and when I should get them removed. I would hate to go get a few out and have to go back! My prayers are with you and Rebel!! |
oh KIm, I am sure your VET will do a wonderful job . . . poor Rebel :( Well he will be home in no time . . . am sure you will give him extra TLC when he gets home. :animal-pa |

It just broke my heart:love: |
Phone call from vet about Rebel's teeth My vet called about Rebel's teeth. He said that what he thought was buildup on his canines is actually damaged enamel:( He said this is very unusual and he asked me several questions. He said that this could be caused by tetracyclene (Rebel hasn't taken it), antibiotics taken orally ( Rebel hasn't done that), or a bad distemper vaccine. He said that the vaccine could've given him a very mild case of distemper with the enamel on his canines being the only sign that he had it. I was very upset. I asked him Rebel was in danger of losing the permanent canines and he said he couldn't really answer that. He said there was always the possibility of him breaking one, but that could happen with any dog. He said all his other teeth are white and fine. Has anyone every heard of this? Kim |
