i believe its Julz on here that has two golden yorkies. They are offspring of two of her other yorkies. She kept the golden babies. They are very very cute! |
i would never purchase one especially when someone is advertising them as "rare" just to inflat the prices. they are cute but i would never own one. i love the standard too much. |
I check the add and nothing came up. Ach im raging I realy wanted to see them and give in my 2 cents. |
I had never heard of golden yorkies before this thread, but they do look morkie-ish to me...what little I know... If someone has a pic of a golden yorkie, they should post it ...THANKS :) |
3 Attachment(s) I have two golden yorkies. The difference between a gold and a chocolate is the color of the nose and eye rims. A gold will have a black nose and black eye-rims. A chololate has liver colored eye-rims and a liver colored nose. Picture three is Connor... (I do not breed him. Not AKC standard color. But I love the way he looks.) Picture one and two is Kera... (I would consider breeding her, but with no registration and pet quality only. At a much reduced price. I do not believe in inflating prices for these pups.) I have friends who would love to have a 'gold'. There is rumor going around that these 'golds' have color related health issues. According the the Yorkie Doctor for AKC, this is not true and only a rumor. Believe me.. after getting 'love' letters from people, I did my research...LOL. He stated that they are subject to any of the breed's related health issues as any yorkie is, but nothing related to their coloring. Enjoy the pics! |
4 Attachment(s) I have my own blondies yorkie, not golden. He is so cute!! |
4 Attachment(s) more pics for you |
Golden boy I bought my daughter two yorkies (at different times:confused: ). Neither of us knew anything about the breed. Benson turned the beautiful golden color--we thought it was the norm. Then I got her Ellie, she has the "normal" yorkie coloring. I bought Emmy from the same breeder--she has the same mom and pop as Benson (golden boy). She has the normal coloring, as Ellie. We love Benson's coloring but now realize that he is not the "norm". What really causes the differences in coloring? |

Conner is the exact color of one my daughter's yorkies--we love the golden color! |
They are really pretty. Thank you for posting. I hope this doesn't come off ignorant, but is there such a thing as an albino yorkie too?? I know that yours aren't because I would think the noses would be pink not brown, but I'm just curious...anyone?? |
4 Attachment(s) I tried to look at the pictures, but it said "ad not found". I have standard, golden and chocolate yorkies. I love them all! I used to call mine "red" because they were so red when they were born along with 2 standard pups. I will attach pics for those who haven't seen them. I apologize for doing it for those who have seen them more than 100 times:D . Mercedes is golden in color now. Mokah is as chocolate as can be. The 2 colors could never be confused on these 2 though I have seen adult chocolates that make it harder to tell. I hope Mokah stays darker chocolate like she is now (both of her parents are chocolates). |
