I'm so sorry I missed all this, but I'm happy there was a happy ending, Nicky is home and he is safe. Thank God for miracles, I truly do believe!!!

In addition to checking Papi's thread, this was the only other thread I went in search of. I'm glad it was no longer the original one, but that the baby is home safe instead.:)

Even though it doesn't sound like the people were completely above board, they DID post a found note, so I can't think they were 100 percent set on keeping him. At any rate, he is home, safe and sound. Thank God!

I chased down a wayward Yorkie a few months ago (dragging his tie-out behind him, running across a busy four-lane roadway). I spent about 40 minutes walking around with him and watching to see if anyone driving by looked like they were looking. After posting a FOUND note at a local store where they frequently are placed, I was driving home and saw a car, creeping down the street ... it was Snickers' family.:)

So while they maybe didn't go about it the right way, at least you got your baby back. WELCOME HOME NICKY!!!!!:cool:

I totally understand, that much money would be a hit to me also and I understand about the bills. Mainly I am happy that you got your baby back.

I was just wondering....did they take Nicky to YOUR VET??? I was just wondering...if they did....was Nicky chipped? ...or wouldn't someone at the vet recogize him? ...just wondering....

I'm so glad he's home. Thank goodness it was someone local that found him. You being so close to the highway, I was afraid someone in transit picked him up, and then who knows where he would be now.

Yay, glad he's home -- safe and sound. :)

I'm so glad that he's home!! You know, if I picked up a dog I would also take them to the vet asap, even if I had no intention of keeping it. Did they have any other animals? If so, that might have been a concern and a reason that prompted them to take your little one to the vet.

I totally understand when you have your money tightly budgeted how hard it can be when something unexpected comes up, but I'm sure they just thought they were doing what was best.

And again, I am SO happy for you that your baby is home!

I'm glad Nicky is home!!! - No doubt - but I also think you should re-think the anger and just be happy he's home. I wouldn't dwell on what is lost ($178) but what was found (Nicky)

You can tell the love for your yorkie runs very deep, and it is like when you lose a love one, at first you are mad, mad at God, mad at everyone, you want to blame someone, then you will get back to where nothing matters other than you have your precious baby back, you were in shock, and hysterical that he may be gone forever, i would have probably been the very same, mad, mad, mad, but know you can be happy, as happy as all of us are that you got your precious baby back, and it just goes to show you that they can be gone in a second, and it will make you so much safer with him in the future. I am soooooooooooooo happy for you i could cry. The Yorkie Panel had a hand in this one with all the wonderful prayers, and the prayers worked. It is so nice to be a part of such a strong network! My very best to you and your baby!

Welcome home little guy. Stay close to mommy from here on in.
Glad the people who found him thought enough about him to have him
vet checked. As long as he's safe at home is all that matters now.

But HONESTLY.... it is a true blessing that he was not hurt or gone forever. You really have the best happy ending ever. And I'd like to say if I found a stray..... I would make a vet appt. ASAP..... I don't know where the dog has been and how long it's been around..... I think these people are wonderful people to have cared like that.
Again..... Congrats and you should get some rest.....

I am so happy for you and Nicky and your family!:yay_jump: You all have been in my prayers and I am so very greatfull that those prayers were answered and even with a happy ending!:cheers:

Nicky Stay close to mommy now you know that when you run way you go to the vet. That fact alone should be enough to keep you close to home. :D

On a more serious note, just thank your Heavenly Father for the safe return of you baby and ask him for help in forgiving those ppl who wanted to keep your baby. Its normal to feel the feelings your feeling. Remember Prayers are answered Nicky comeing home is proof of that, and if you ask him for help in forgiveness he wont turn you way; and then you will have peace.
I am so happy for you !! I hope you can find the peace you deserve!!
