Baxter had sticks removed from his hiney So my Baxter goes to the vet today for some shots, and a check up - He's 4 months now and weighs 7 lbs. - everything seemed to be going fine until the vet gets near his behind - That's when they notice he had some sticks jammed in his hiney - He's been very much into eating plywood and twigs recently - and if we go to get it away from him - he run's for his life - Poor baby had to have the vet remove these sticks because he was unable to pass them. (Thank God they spotted it - I'm sure it would have gotten ugly) On another note - We also have an Akita and have been shying away from the two of them being in the same room lose at the same time. - Our vet feels they'll do fine - so this weekend will be the trial - Please oh please wish us luck. She is just so big and he is just so little - but we figure I'll have control (if you can call it that) of Baxter and my husband will take Princess (the Akita) and well see how it goes. YIKESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS |

Poor Baxter...I am really glad the vet saw them and was able to get them out. |

Turns out if Maxwell could have a piece of wood over a new bone, he goes for the wood. Very frustrating. My husband is a carpenter and there is wood scraps everywhere. sigh... |
His poor little butt! I hope he enjoyed that wood - and maybe learned his lesson. Good luck in introducing the dogs. |
