Do you educate them? It seems like every time I take the girls for a walk I here the same question! Are they FULL grown?? How old are they??? When I say Yes (Lillie is full grown 2.12lbs) she is full grown, they say, "ohh she is a T-Cup! I usually smile and say, yeah she's a tiny one al right. So should I take the time to educate them and say, No, she is not a T Cup, there is no such thing as a T Cup! Or should I let it go and be on my merry way? |
That sounds like the perfect answer. Have you ever tried to teach a pig to sing? Save the education for those around you who really want to learn something. |
I would just go on my merry way;) Quote:

i get the SAME thing.. and you saw Layla...a lot bigger than Lillie but people think she is very small for her breed and ask if she is a t-cup.. and she is 5 lbs!!! i just say, no she is the standard weight for the breed which ranges from 2-7 lbs.. smile and then they tend to move on :p |
Same thing happened to me today at Petsmart. A lady was there with her 12 weeks old yorkie who was 3x's Buttercups size. (He is 4.5lbs) She complimented how beautiful he was and said 'that must be a teacup because he is so small' and I just said 'well yeah I guess so but there is no such thing as teacup but hey if you want to call it teacup than i guess it's a teacup' |
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Depends on the personality of the person, and how I think they'll respond. |
